Questions & Answers
Even though I use hot water, I still have to shake vigorously to remove lumps. I've never tried it with cold, but it's not something I'd recommend. I camp as well, so why don't you start a fire and warm up some water?
The product will most likely have a best before date of December 2017. It is, however, good for another 6 months after it has been opened. Because whole milk powder has a high fat content, we use oxygen absorbers to keep its quality.
Yes. Although you must let it sit in warm water for a few minutes to rehydrate it, I believe it still qualifies as instant.
There isn't any added sugar in this recipe.

Super creamy, with a lot of flavor, and a fine powder that looked like flour. I ordered three more bags after my initial purchase. They not only raised the prices, but they also changed the formula. It tasted like sand, had no flavor, and was extremely grainy, unlike the other bags I had ordered. I'm not going to buy anything else from them. All three bags had to be discarded because they were identical.
When I lived in Tijuana, I would get it. It's likely that the milk industry doesn't want people to be able to store milk without it spoiling, forcing them to buy more. In any case, this is the genuine article. It tastes exactly like real milk when you mix it to the right strength. For coffee creamer, make the mixture a little thicker. It's not easy to get it to completely dissolve. It's best to shake it vigorously in a container with a lid.
Milk is one of my favorite foods. Milk has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My parents were always looking for the cheapest milk they could find, so I've had whole pasteurized, raw, skim, and powdered skim milk. It was determined by the cost and the size of one's wallet. Powdered skim was obviously the least appealing, but I have a soft spot for skim milk. It just happened, and my husband is a fan of skim milk as well. br>br>I decided to give it a shot because skim milk doesn't always work in recipes that call for whole milk. It tastes great in a recipe, but it's a pain to get it to dissolve. It's just moist enough to cling to the bowl, cup, spoon, or fork. I find that dissolving it in a bread dough sponge produces the best results, as long as it only comes into contact with the batter. It gives the desired taste and texture once dissolved, so it gives me the results I'm looking for in the kitchen. This was also consumed by me. For maximum flavor, I used filtered water. Trying to dissolve this milk powder in water on its own is a devilish task! It's a chore to get a smooth glass of milk, whether I pour it into a glass and slowly add water or start with water and sprinkle this on top. But I stuck it out and kept it cool. However, it has the same flat, stale flavor as powdered skim milk. It's tolerable, but not particularly appetizing. It isn't even close to liquid milk from the store. br>br>It has a long shelf life, but it's also quite expensive, so I'm not sure I'd buy it again. I prefer liquid skim milk, but I can save money by buying whole liquid milk from the supermarket, and yes, I can drink what I don't use for cooking. It's fine for cooking, and it's only slightly better than powdered skim milk for drinking. I wouldn't buy it for drinking unless I despise skim milk and needed to keep powdered milk on hand rather than fresh to avoid spoilage.
After completing a 10-day wilderness kayak trip on Manitoba's Bloodvein River, I felt compelled to return and write a review for this fantastic product. I was completely blown away by Judees Whole Milk Powder. I've never tasted powdered milk that tasted so good and was completely lump-free. I'd make a liter by filling my bottle halfway with water and adding a cup of powder, shaking like crazy, then topping it off and shaking again. The water in the river was icy and. No lumps at all. It tasted like real whole milk, creamy and delicious; I couldn't believe my eyes. We drank it straight, and we used it to make blueberry pancakes (photo), eggs, muesli, and, of course, strong press pot coffee. I just put the powder in my coffee at home, and it turned out great. the same delicious flavor!.
No way. This product did not appeal to us in the least. We tried it in a variety of ways (in coffee, in a smoothie) in the hopes of finding a suitable application for it, but each time we were disappointed: it didn't taste like real milk and left a horrible aftertaste; it was also a waste of money because it couldn't be returned! I couldn't keep it and had to toss it.
