My original review can be found below. Due to the product's expiration date and the fact that it cannot be returned, I had to change it to a 1 star rating. I find that to be What would you sell if it was expired and you weren't allowed to return it? I have found it to be very convenient to use Adding it to the dry ingredients and mixing it thoroughly before adding the wet ingredients is all it takes. It does not have to be kept in the refrigerator. I had the product on hand and it worked fine. One point was that mine was missing a seal and there was product inside the shipping box and the label was falling This is not an issue with the product, but rather with the employees who packed it, so I did not take that into consideration when I reviewed it.
I forget to buy buttermilk on my last trip to the store, so I come back hours later and realize that I haven't bought it after all. Long-term, this will save me time, money, and the guilt of doing something immoral. It has been mainly used in biscuits and waffles and I haven't noticed an appreciable difference in taste. The ability to simply open the cabinet and add the powder whenever I need it has been a great convenience. As a matter of fact, I find myself making more things that require buttermilk, and I haven't even scratched the surface of As another reviewer noted, it's completely ridiculous to show the proportion of powder and liquid to make a gallon of buttermilk on the recipe. It would take . 5 cups of powder and . 3 cups of liquid to make a gallon of buttermilk. Buttermilk is made by adding 75 quarts of water per gallon of liquid. Why does someone make a gallon of buttermilk, and for what purpose? I have mixed between 3 to 4 tablespoons of powder to 1 cup water and it has worked well for me.
That's a tough one to beat!.
As a result, I'm giving this one star since I've ordered from Amazon twice and the best by dates have been disappointing. It is possible to buy buttermilk powder from Target that lasts for In regards to the product itself, it deserves a five-star rating.
There is no tang to buttermilk like in the real thing, and it does not taste like buttermilk. My expectation was that it would taste like home, but it didn't The milk from a fresh cow that has been churned to make buttermilk. This is a taste I know, too - Although I was disappointed with it, I won't ever buy something like this It is fair to mention that I did make some homemade yeast rolls with this product and they were quite delicious. Then again, I seem not to have learned enough about the product before I bought it.
Worked like a charm. Here are my mixes 2 and 3. Mix together 5 teaspoons of sugar with 1/4 cup of water and you're done. Bread with bananas that are perfect.
The only reason I buy dairy products like this is that I usually only use a few tablespoons of it for recipes, and the rest usually My "mug bread" recipe calls for this buttermilk, which I can use anytime and without worrying whether I have buttermilk. I love how convenient this product is and how you don't have to worry about running out of I am sure I will find other uses for it in the near future.
