Baking cookies with them is so much fun, and banana bread tastes so good with them, too. The prices on the website are much higher than the price in stores, which is a bummer. It is the only complaint I have that the bag does not refer to the cinnamon chips as minis anywhere. These were sold at Walmart before they stopped selling them and the same bag contained normal-sized chips as well. The ones in this article are minis due to some reason. I guess that's the way it is.
The chips I bought are from Amazon. The 4 bags arrived today, each with a huge hard lump in it where they have melted and hardened somewhere along the way since they are no longer soft in the slightest. The last time I bought these was about ten years ago. The food was very good. There was no problem with the product. However, they were delivered to my door without notice. They were left on the ground in a plastic Walmart bag. The ants we have here in Florida are a nuisance. It was a good thing that the ants did not get to them, but they melted anyway. We had to put the bars in the freezer and then cut them. The baking chips are difficult for me to find at stores here in Iowa, so I was hopeful to find them via the internet. I live in a hot climate, so I know there is always the risk of melting, but I decided to do it anyway, thus I gave it 2 stars rather than 1. The chips appeared to have melted a bit, as there were clumps of them stuck together, but I could separate them. But I didn't appreciate the old, waxy appearance of the chips, which is the main reason for my low rating. In all honesty, I'm not sure how I will use them. What is the point of waxy if I can use melty?.

The cinnamon chips were part of a recipe for snickerdoodle bread. The local store could not offer them, so I went to Amazon, which I trust. My personal view is that the chips are a little pricey but have a good taste. Ordering food is not as easy as it sounds because use-by dates must be followed. It is a bread I will buy again because we like it so much.
