Questions & Answers

How do I know if they don't contain corn?

In addition to corn syrup, you will find others

The barley protein is no longer listed in the ingredients in the bag after natural flavors in the one I bought recently. Now that they are gluten-free, are they still available?

In spite of the fact that they do not contain wheat ingredients or barley protein, there may be a possibility that cross-contamination occurs with gluten in our facility or other facilities where ingredients are manufactured. I'm Andrew, Ambassador of Toll House®

This is a great product
5/5

As a matter of fact, I have purchased this product from a grocery store in the past and was quite satisfied with it. In any case, this order disappeared in transit, but its owner returned the purchase price. FOR BROWNIES AND SO ON I WOULD RECOMMEND.

The taste is similar to butterscotch
5/5

This product is in perfect shape. No damage, no expired date, and no melting. I just used a few bags to make Butterscotch Pecan Cookies and they turned out wonderful! This price is significantly better than the one at.

A meltdown ensued
4/5

Nestle chips are one of my favorites, but the bag at the top of the box was melted, and there was no one available to talk to on Amazon about it. There must be somewhere you are complaining to Amazon if I can't figure it out. My experience in complaining to stores is different from the experience I have with Amazon.

I like it because it is waxy
3/5

Other people haven't looked at the list of ingredients in these chips, so I have to believe they are not looking at it for themselves. This is what they look like The following ingredients are included in this recipe PALM KERNEL OIL, COCONUT OIL, LACTOSE, WHEY, NON-GMO NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL FLAVORS (INCLUDING BARLEY PROTEIN), PARTIALLY HYDROGENATED SOLIDS OF FAT MILK, BUTTERMILK, SOY LECITHIN, SODIUM CASEINATE I must admit my own failure to read the label. I encountered two emulsifiers, a salt, and artificial colors (YELLOW 5 LAKE, YELLOW 6 LAKE, BLUE 2 LAKE). Nestle's chocolate chips have been an essential part of my meals for many years. However, it seems I must no longer trust the brand. Here is how I discovered what the ingredients were

So let me tell you how I discovered the ingredients. As I was preparing brownies for the kids, I realized they were out of fudge I bought the premium white morsels because it was a special occasion The white chocolates were mistaken for white chocolates- They are butterscotch and these are chocolate. After I dumped the chips in the batter, I noticed that they hadn't melted when I took the brownies out. The white morsels did not seem to be worth a second glance until I tried a couple. There is a lot of wax Chocolate that doesn't make you happy like good chocolate would. The butterscotch ones I tried were really good. Is that it? Where did the flavor go? As soon as I read that label, I was amazed. As a result, I was unaware that the white chocolate was now formulated as Chocolate Free, and I presume that in the past these chips actually had a butterscotch element to them, instead of being artificially flavored with barley protein. Those ingredients it's not hard to see Butter and milk are the two things that contain more artificial flavors by volume. A teaspoon of these things contains more than 8 grams of sugar. That is perfectly acceptable for making sweets if it weren't for the 4 grams of trans- fat in it There was also goo laden with fats inside. As a matter of fact, I've thrown the rest of these two bags away. Even if they weren't bad enough for their health, they don't taste good either. You eat them au naturel and your tongue gets waxy from it. They are really sweet and less flavorful than you might think. The life of Pam T, baker, mom, and blogger.

We wanted to melt them for some candy we were making
3/5

Don't expect them to melt. Yet they did not melt, but instead looked like some kind of sand curd. We could not use them however we please. If you are using them in a recipe that requires melting, they might need to be melted. They are not a good idea! It didn't cause any problems in the past when we made candy with them. In the case of the Nestle's chocolate chips, the same thing happened. I just wanted to send you Another brand would be better.

I hate it
3/5

Considering that they were a spin on America's Test Kitchen's perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe, I wondered how they could have tasted so bad. Those butterscotch chips made all the difference. The recipe I created was adapted from ATK's for oatmeal, rather than chocolate chip, by adding oats, raisins, chopped mac nuts, cinnamon, and these chips instead of the chocolate I would have been just as happy without the chocolate chips as I was with the chocolate chip cookie recipe. In addition to the chips in the cookies, yet another reviewer stated that they are best thrown away.

Do not buy this brand
3/5

Go with another brand! I just cannot believe it. It is horrible to see these. When I made banana butterscotch muffins, the morsels turned the batter next to the morsels an unappetizing grey blue color. My next purchase will be a different brand, as there is a chemical aftertaste as well.
