2) The instructions appear to have been misinterpreted - Despite their claim that each pouch consists of two pouches, there are only one and they call for only 1/2 cup of water when that is clearly not enough. twice as much water in as it indicated, and it worked fine. The instructions on 2 of them were also for pancakes, not tempura, so I’m not sure what went wrong (the pancake mix or the 3) this is quite a bit more than you might expect - Three pouches were included in each order. It was sufficient to cook about 2 pounds of shrimp, a full crook neck squash, two bell peppers, and three or four onions with two pouches. Having my guests experiment with tempura in this way was also very enjoyable - one of them has celiac disease and another can't have gluten. In spite of the fact that I'm not a big fan of it personally because I like a crispy tempura, my guests loved.
I tried it with a fish and a vegetable I served it with shrimp and a side of rice Neither of us got sick of it, our son & I He cooked the fish with the help of his wife. The tips were great - make sure your meat is dry and sprinkle it with salt if necessary Make sure you use a cup, not a half cup of liquid A bag full of o is a must. DH tried the seltzer with shrimp and the water with fish, and both produced the same results.
There is a note on the packaging that says to add 1/2 cup of water to the The batter will only crumble and not behave like a batter at all. In order to get it even closer to a batter, I added another cup of water. The oil was going to be used in my air fryer oven to make fish. Using it again will not be a good idea. Packaged in a set of three, it was a bit disappointing. Using it dry like flour and washing it with egg might be a good idea next time. This did not resemble tempura in the least.
I am really enjoying this! A gluten-free Friday at home was very enjoyable.
It was a quick and easy way to make fantastic.
