This is an excellent one, in my opinion. The dough was very plain by itself (think flour and water), so I added seasoned salt and garlic powder to make it more flavorful. It would be better if I added more seasoning next time. The directions on the package didn't tell me to wet coat the food first, then dry coat it, so I found online that said to do that. There is a bit more work involved (I used two boxes for each pound of fish), but that results in a nice, thick layer. was very crisp when it was fried My family would love this! It could become a staple at home. Next I plan on putting it in an air fryer to see how it does.
As a result, I had to find a new brand to try since they no longer carry the product. The reason I ordered this brand was because it came with a nice amount of boxes for a decent price. Man, that was a bad idea. The result is that I have a ton of boxes of a product that I truly do not like. There is nothing special about the taste it is so bland and boring. There is a mention that it is extra cripsy, but where exactly is it? It was almost impossible to find any crisp whatsoever. This was what I used for tempura chicken, and it just wasn't good. My hope is that it will come good when I use it with veggies, but I am not too optimistic. I recommend it to you wholeheartedly. A new batch of tempura batter should be ordered. It is not worth your money to waste it on this product.

There is no way anyone could give this batter a good review if they have never had tempura before. There is nothing good about this stuff. It doesn't bother me that there isn't much flavor since I like to season my food myself. This brand of food from Concord Foods is more like authentic.

I've used different kinds One is McCormack, which is very good, but I found the Kiko man brand to be a little bit better as far as taste when it comes to the way it fries whatever vegetable or seafood you choose.
