I haven't tried it, but I don't believe it is true. They puff up like a cake when cooked in the microwave. I believe that boiling water would result in a sludge-like consistency.
Yep. I usually make them in the microwave, but I've also thrown them on the griddle when I've decided I want a full breakfast; there's no need to add extra liquid, as some have suggested. One large pancake or two smaller pancakes can be made.

It's mush! It's tasteless mush! There will be no more. This is a product that sounds great but isn't well-made. To begin with, there is the preparation: You'll need a whisk to get all of the powder to condense, and since this was designed to be eaten on the go, who keeps a whisk at their worksite unless they're a chef? It's just plain messy, and it looks like it tastes even worse. There was no taste of strawberry or chocolate. This nonsense is not worth your money!.
Oh, my goodness. All of these flavors have become obsessions for me. During my 12-hour shifts at the nurses station, I usually get the small cups of oatmeal to eat quickly. It's usually underwhelming, flavorless, and leaves me hungry several hours later. Plus, they're pricey (remember, I'm talking about a variety of oatmeal brands here. ) These! )br>br> These Kodiak cakes are absolutely incredible. balls. They cook in a flash, have a great flavor balance, and keep me full for more than half my shift; If I need to make it through the shift, I usually add some Greek yogurt on the side. Not to mention that the sweetness makes me happy, so I'm not bingeing on anything else with more sugar in between. br>br>Be prepared to give a speech in response to the question "What are you eating?" "Because everyone within a one-mile radius will want to know what that wonderful odor is. br>br>I now have them all on subscription because they are less expensive than buying them in stores. br>br>Another thing to keep in mind is that I'm not sure if it's a real flapjack texture. Nonetheless, I enjoy it even more now!.
I've been eating Kodiak Cinnamon for a while now. For years, I've been making maple flapjacks as a quick breakfast. I buy them here or at a local grocery store, depending on what's on sale, because they're not the cheapest, but they're good and quick. The packaging on the most recent package I received from Amazon was different, but who cares? But when I made them, they weren't the same. I'm not sure what changed, but they don't cook the same, and they almost dry out. I've tried milk vs. water, and adjusting the cook time, but nothing seems to work. I look for the old packaging every time I go to my local grocery store, but I can't seem to find any. This flavor has essentially been removed from stores, indicating that they are changing the product; you may enjoy these if you have never tried the old recipe, but if you have, you will notice that they are no longer as good.

This is a follow-up to my last review: br>I adore this product so much that I'm willing to give it another chance in the hopes of better packaging the second time around. So it turns out I was correct. I opened the package as soon as I got it this morning and was surprised to see how well packed it was, how intact it was, and how there wasn't a single speck of powder in the box all the way from Hawaii! Each container is still tightly sealed and perfectly stacked. This protein snack is the most convenient meal to take on the go as a massage therapist who is constantly working with back-to-back clients and burning calories at all times. Because I don't get off work until 2 or 3 p. m. , well after lunch, this pancake on the go keeps me full and satisfied until my shift ends. It was filling and tasty. I hope they don't change their recipe anytime soon. br>br>Previous Review: br>I eat this for breakfast every morning, and it tastes so good that I've lost weight as a result of it. This flavor isn't always available in our local Target stores, so I was excited when I discovered it on Amazon. I immediately placed an order for them at com. Six of the twelve containers arrived broken, with batter spilling all over the box and leaking when picked up. I'm not sure if I should return it and reorder it because I'm afraid it will behave similarly when it arrives in Hawaii. Consider the pressure inside the plane during transport. They need to improve their packaging, perhaps individually wrapping each one with saran wrap to keep the lid sealed.

They're quick and easy to make, and while they still contain sugar, I feel good about eating them in a pinch because they're high in protein and fiber. I bring them to work and eat them for breakfast or later in the day to tide me over if I don't have time to eat lunch. You guys on Shark Tank missed out on these because they're incredible. My only complaint is that I wish there was a marker or line inside the cup to indicate how much water to add, as many other microwave-in-a-cup products do. This type of mark can be found on cup products. I'm not going to use my quarter-hour of free time. To work or whatever, take a cup measuring cup. Maintain your excellent work and experiment with new flavors!.
Last week, I purchased this product for the first time, and I must say that, while it is delicious, simple to prepare, and reasonably filling; It has an odd, slightly bitter aftertaste; however, my son and I both enjoyed the chocolate/peanut butter flavor. It's a good idea to give the cup a good shake before adding liquid, because all of the leavening and chips settle at the bottom. Then stir it thoroughly, taking care to scoop all the way to the bottom to ensure that everything is thoroughly mixed in. I didn't give it five stars because it contains far too much sugar, has a strange aftertaste, doesn't appear to come in a variety pack, and is too expensive per unit. I would gladly give it full marks if these issues could be resolved.
I've been eating Kodiak Cake products for a few years, and this was my third time trying their cups (the first two were Variety Packs purchased directly from their website, and I'm still working my way through them). These products are fantastic! These Peanut Butter and Chocolate Maple cups were so rich, and there were big clumps of peanut butter in there, so get the variety pack early on to find out what you like best. This flavor will appeal to anyone who enjoys peanut butter. br>br>Here are a few pointers: It won't cook properly if you use more than 1/4 cup of water (which isn't much). It always cooks perfectly in the microwave in 60 seconds (1 minute) if you follow the instructions, and a little Light Syrup adds some nice moisture to the product if it seems dry. It's delicious on its own, but that's purely a personal preference. I highly recommend this product and brand, which can be found at Walmart, Sprouts, and other locations in addition to Amazon and their website. Kodiak Cakes, keep up the good work.
