According to the ingredients list on the jar, wheat is one of them. Toward the end, I see the statement "CONTAINS WHEAT.". Despite the fact that I am not very knowledgeable about gluten, I believe that anything containing wheat is not
Due to the fact that we use it up too quickly, we've never paid attention to Nance's expiration date. I just never know if the Nance's will spoil for too long. It is written on the back of the container on top of the expiration date.
A year has gone by since I put it on the shelf. Keeping it in the fridge would help it last longer. It's the one item I get every summer in Syracuse, NY and I've never run into any problems Once you have opened it, you should put it in the refrigerator.

Food chemistry is one of my specialties, and I have familiarity with several types of foods. Of all the types of mustard, mustard comes in the most different varieties, but the vast majority are either too salty or too vinegary, to my taste. I find the Nance's Original Mustard Creme to be several grades above the rest, it has a smooth, well-balanced taste, and it is a high quality product. It has the right sharpness and viscosity, and is the perfect mustard. Since I have not been able to find it in any stores in California, I am glad it is available on Amazon.
Sharp, sweet, creamy, and just the way you like your mustard. Mom kept a jar of this "fancy" mustard in the pantry. enjoy it a great deal. The three packs came in a three pack I bought They were all set to expire in just a couple of months on Amazon. The mustard ought to last a long time, except when it goes stale, but I still feel crippled. However, I can no longer find this delicious mustard at stores, so I make due with the now expired product.
