Questions & Answers
If you can't find yellow sweet mustard, you can replace it with powdered turmeric and stir it in. It's a good mustard, but it's brown, like mustard seeds, rather than colored and flavored with turmeric.
The "seal" is a vacuum, similar to that of a mason jar. When you open the lid, it should have a slight indentation and pop. I wouldn't use it if the lid were loose.
I'm sorry, but I don't have an answer for you. I'm on number thirteen. It's been over 6 months since I put a 4 oz jar in the fridge, and it's still fine.
That's what I believe. The following are the ingredients: Water, sugar, mustard seeds, vinegar, and spices are all used in this recipe. br>Because it's made in Germany, there's no indication on the jar whether it's vegan or not.

It was the first time I tried it in Berlin many years ago, and I bought a few on my most recent trip. I'm not a huge fan of mustard, but this is delicious. It goes well with a wide variety of dishes. In the United States, I would drive 45 minutes to buy it, but the store is now closed. I was delighted to discover this on Amazon and purchased it without hesitation. I'll be buying some Blue Cheese from my local butcher tomorrow. Surprise everyone with fig sausage for us. br>Excellent packaging and prompt delivery br>Many thanks to Amazon! br>Updated review. . . br>Have ordered this from Amazon several times and enjoy the product. br>This update does not reflect the mustard, but rather the packaging. Although I was pleased to receive it a day early, the lid is clearly dented. The box and bubble wrap are in good condition, but the jar was wrapped with the lid broken (a shame). The seal has been broken, and there is no way to get it back. This is the only time I'll ever order from this vendor. I'm not going to lose any sleep over the fact that I threw it out and lost some money. Maybe the supplier will see this and issue a refund (who knows). In any case, I've already spoken with family members and will have another one delivered from Germany in good working order.
After reading the reviews, I decided to buy it as a replacement for Thomy sweet mustard, which was out of stock. When I got it, I was disappointed. We like it best on Landjäger, but it's also good on leberkase sandwiches. This mustard had an average flavor to me. It's too sweet, and it has a syrupy consistency that I don't like in mustard; fortunately, I recently discovered Thomy mustard, and I'm going to throw the rest of this jar away.
We brought a tube home with us from that trip, but after it was gone, we couldn't find Handlmaier's. Of course, there's Amazon! This is my second order because it's a fantastic mustard. It's sweet, which sets it apart from the traditional mustard I grew up with. It's refreshing to see something different. It was also about a buck less expensive than the last jar I bought two years ago.
This product was discovered by accident while on a river cruise in a small German town. br>It was truly by accident when having lunch in a small cafe, and after tasting it there, I had to find a store to buy some to bring home. br>br>I was ecstatic to discover it was available on Amazon. br>br>Give it a shot, it's a little sweet with a kick, and it's nothing like the traditional mustard we use on frankfurters.
It took a long time to get here, but given the distance, that's to be expected. Will purchase from this seller in the future - I am extremely pleased with an excellent product that I am unable to obtain in the United States.
' When our son, who teaches in Salzburg, Austria, met us in Passau, Germany, he told us that this mustard is the "Gold Standard" in most of Europe. br>br>I was hooked after one bite. The very best!.
Like the sweet taste of mustard without completely losing the mustard flavor. br>I'm more familiar with the tangy and dark mustards that pack a punch. br>Recently, I've dabbled in some with a sweeter component, such as honey or fruit, and discovered new possibilities. br>The Bavarian style is a good place to start if you want to try something new.
Personal preference is subjective, but Handlaier's consistency has been admirable.
