I'm not sure why there's no flavor in this. It could be the type of tomatoes used or the method used to make this tomato sauce. It's nearly sour. Perhaps the flavor came from the salt. Muir Glen tomato paste is DELICIOUS. Based on my previous experience with Muir Glen paste, I decided to try the tomato sauce.

You might not think there's much of a difference between tomato sauces. But, after the usual store brands, this stuff completely wowed us. It's like the difference between a high acid farm fresh ripe tomato and the blah tomato bricks in the grocery store when it comes to flavor.
