Questions & Answers
The product has a 24-month shelf life.
Because it comes in a carton rather than a can, I assumed it was BPA-free. I bought it for that reason.
A total of 16 13 are available. In the order (as described), there will be 76 oz cartons.
It all depends on how you intend to use them. Because these tomatoes are soft and in tomato sauce, tossing them in a salad like fresh diced tomatoes might be a bit of a mess. However, they would probably work well in a salad dressing. They'd be good as a salad topping, but not so much when mixed in.

I used to cook for a living, but now that I'm retired, I cook for a living; I'm on a low-salt diet due to a heart condition, and low-salt canned tomatoes, with the exception of canned sauce, are frequently sold out in the grocery stores around here. Because of the salt content, I decided to buy these. In my recipes, I prefer tomatoes that release their flavor while maintaining some structure. These are some of the most delicious tomatoes I've ever had - However, they were clearly packed at the peak of ripeness because they have lost all structure. I've had to start using them in combination with traditional no salt diced canned tomatoes, such as Hunts, to get some of the structure I need. Will I buy them again? Hell yes, as long as the price doesn't go up (they're currently $0. 50). 13 cents per ounce.
They're more sludge-like than anything else. br>The flavor is good, and they'll work in sauces, soups, chili, and other dishes, but I'm not going to buy this brand again.
" However, the flavor is pleasant, and I believe the price is reasonable.
They have a sweet flavor that is neither sharp nor acidic, and they remind me of San Marzano tomatoes, which are the sweetest tomatoes available. Although the packages are slightly larger than most store-bought cans, I doubt it would make a difference in most recipes. The most noticeable difference between these and typical canned tomatoes is that they are almost crushed, rather than distinct diced tomato pieces. But that's fine with me; I adore them!.
I bought the diced tomatoes, and while the flavor is excellent, the texture is closer to crushed tomatoes than diced tomatoes. There were almost no actual tomato chunks, as far as I could tell. I'll save them for when I need crushed tomatoes, but I'll go out and buy some more diced tomatoes from a different brand.
These came highly recommended on Amazon, so I bought them. The product is excellent, and the container contains very little water. Almost all of the tomatoes are diced. The tomatoes tasted fresh and were well received by the family, far better than what I usually get from canned products. The tetra pack is very convenient to open. If you have stiff hands, it's easy to work with, and there are no cuts from the can lids. I plan to buy more in the future.
The flavor is fantastic; it's a thick tomato sauce with small pieces of tomato that's perfect for a spaghetti sauce when you season it yourself. My only disappointment is that the diced tomato is supposed to be small chunks that everyone calls diced; however, this dice is more like smashed pieces than a chunk, so I'm not sure I'll be able to use it in my soups. Like a fresh tomato, it's very tasty and a little sweet. Updated. This is the best tasting diced tomatoes I have ever found and makes any dish taste fantastic and my favorite is tomato soup, wow improved my recipe by a 100%%2.
Colavita has been crushed as well as diced. They're nearly indistinguishable when viewed side by side. They are, however, delectable and make a fantastic sauce. Go somewhere else if you want a chunkier tomato with defined cubed chunks. This isn't your product, so don't waste your time.
