High fructose corn syrup is present in abundance in the sweet and spicy sliced jalapeno peppers.
Isn't it true, though, that it all depends? I'm able to eat them straight from the jar. They don't have the same spiciness as fresh jalepenos. In the case of a residence, I'd make a tostada (plate size) and put about 10 on top, then cut in half as I ate. The amount of jalepeno flavor is just right, and I think it's delicious. They're also a little sweet, thanks to the presence of high fructose corn syrup. HFCS? Bad! But I was willing to put up with it for the sake of these delicious jalepeno slices. I enjoy spicy food, but not to the point where it burns my mouth for longer than a minute.

Selected User Reviews For Mrs. Renfros Nacho Sliced Jalapeo Peppers Crisp (16-oz. jars, 2-pack)
The Nacho Sliced Jalapeos are superb, best jalapeos on the market. The Sweet and Spicy variety is a complete disaster. The later jalapeos are mushy, and the high fructose corn syrup (HFCS)-induced sweetness of the peppers is overpowering and nauseating. One product is fantastic, while the other is inedible and potentially harmful to your metabolism due to its high HFCS content.
They arrive beautifully packaged and are better than any I have ever tasted. This is the product to buy if you want to add delicious jalapeo slices to your favorite foods without burning your tongue but still get the heat and amazing flavor. I go through them so fast that I always have an extra box of four jars on hand. This fantastic product will not let you down!.
Jalapeos are by far my favorite! This is the best if you want something with an authentic flavor (rather than something too vinegary), as well as a great texture. You won't find a bunch of mushy jalapeos in the jar when you open it. I buy several jars and divide them into small ziplock baggies to take with me when I go out to eat. Many restaurants are afraid to use even the tiniest amount of heat on their food. Also, if you're unfortunate enough to be seated next to someone who hoards their nacho toppings like gold, this is a great dish to bring to the movies. 75 cents for a tiny plastic cup containing perhaps ten slices? Just to get my nachos the way I like them would set me back $50. Every bite has a jalapeo!.
Despite the fact that the ones I received had an older label, the product inside has changed. They've become MUSHY! It wasn't even the first jar. So sad that it's no longer crisp. I won't be purchasing anything else in the future. so sad. My nachos are never going to be the same again.

The explosion of flavors in your mouth makes your taste buds scream for more and more. They have just the right amount of heat and who knows what flavors are in them, but they make your mouth water and make you want more. MY mouth is watering just thinking about them as I type this YUMMY! br>I strongly suggest this product and this seller. And, let me tell you, I despise recommending this product because it will always be sold out, and I will have a difficult time obtaining it. I've tried ordering them twice now and both times they've been SOLD OUT. DAGGER . So best of luck with them; I'm sure you'll enjoy them.
These arrived today, and I used them to top my pizza. They're crunchy and flavorful, but the lack of heat left me disappointed. They're mildly spicy, which may appeal to most people. I wish they were spicier, but I can always add more spices to make them spicier. These are primarily for nachos, scrambled eggs, and pizza that I prepare. I expected more heat from these, so don't hold your breath in that department; otherwise, they're excellent.
I really like these, but I can get them for nearly half the price on Amazon from Salsa Express.
