Questions & Answers
The ingredients are listed on the jar's label as follows: water, distilled vinegar, sea salt, calcium chloride, turmeric, and sodium bisulfite, along with sliced jalapeno peppers
Yes, pickled in the sense that it is preserved in a liquid or brine. However, I prefer these because, rather than being soft, they are crispier and hotter than a typical deli Jalapeo. This, in my opinion, is a must try if you like jalapeos.

When you open the jar, a ring of visible red rust around the rim appears to be defective. Rust specks can also be found inside the jar containing the jalapeos. Because the rust indicates that the cap and jar were exposed to oxidation, it almost appears that these jars were opened and repackaged. Rust is toxic and should not be handled, much less eaten. I will not be returning this product because I am unable to do so, so I have lost money, but I wrote this review because I genuinely wanted to help others. Moving forward, I will only buy food from grocery stores because it is not safe to do so elsewhere.
I got these from a few different places. They aren't spicy at all, just a smidgeon of it. I'm a huge fan of chile peppers and enjoy cooking in the Southwest. Chimayo red chile powder is the only chile powder I use. Hatch powdered green chile pepper powder is used by the Chimayo Brothers to add heat. Hatch jalapenos are moderately hot, contrary to Amz reviews.
This product is by far the best jarred jalapeno pepper available today; consistency of flavor is the key to their success.
Mezzettas are my favorite; I eat them with avocados, eggs, and various types of potatoes, as well as including some in my pickle relish. I've used other brands when Mezzetta's were unavailable, which is why I order them online because the stores are unreliable.
This pickle is a personal favorite of mine. It has a great crunch and flavor. It's spicy, as you might expect. It appeals to me.
They're great on sandwiches and in recipes.
