The vinegar was very salty and the chew was very strong
5/5

It was delicious! Cockles were the first time I had eaten them. The idea of eating pickled cockles piqued my interest after I saw a YouTube video about it. As a matter of fact, I love all kinds of seafood. I love oysters, mussels, sardines, etc. As for me, I just had to order a few to see what they were like. It was the best thing I've ever done. Trying these for the first time has been an amazing experience, and I can't believe I waited so long! An indicator that indicates a sealed-up product). It looks like I'll be ordering more of these in the future since I feel that they will become a staple in my diet. You should definitely try these if you like seafood with a briny, vinegary flavor.

A bit gritty
3/5

I found them not to be the best thing I've ever eaten, but the immense amount of grit in them made me not want to finish them. If I'm not mistaken, you keep shellfish in saltwater for a few days and it helps them expel the grit while alive -- The pickling process wouldn't have been better done if it had been done before.

Several items were contaminated with rotting fish fluid due to the broken container
3/5

There was rotting fish fluid leaking over other items in the box due to the broken jar. Its wrap was thinnest on the glass jar. After being on the truck, we then sat on the poach for hours in the Having worked with horses and other livestock for years, I can tell you that the stench was as bad as doing a necropsy on a dead corpse in the 100 degree heat for days.

The packaging was good, but the contents were wet
3/5

A total of two jars was ordered. On one, the lid was broken, leaking brine into the pack. On the other, the seal had been broken and there was leaking brine within. Read of other people who have experienced the same thing. This is something I should have paid more attention to.

I love it
5/5

What a great idea! Fresh clams and crabs were always available in the salt marshes of southern New Jersey when I was a child. In terms of the flavor, it captures one so similar to the other that it is hard to separate them. In addition to the price, this is an excellent product. Will be buying again. Use this on crackers or in a salad with Tabasco, Crystal, or a spicy sauce.

My Dad was thrilled, even though it was not my cup of tea
5/5

This was a great treat for my dad. I thought the jar was quite small for the price (I thought), but my Dad was very glad to receive it. I'm glad I was able to find them, but not my cup of tea at all.
