Despite the fact that they are not heavily advertised on Amazon, Napoleon brand smoked mussels come from China, taste bad, and have an almost toothless texture. An animal that is dead. Three of the cans went straight to the trash after a few bites.

There is a good amount of flavor in the tin as well as a good amount inside. There was one thing I did not like so much the price.

In addition to Napoleon canned mussels, I've also tried clams, scallops, oysters, and clam juice. Though all of them have a similar taste to me (clams were by far my favorite), they differ in taste. It is the subtle differences that count, and they are subtly different in the sense that they are sort of bitter and off-putting As a general statement. (Although I don't know how often a product like this varies. However, the Napoleon can last night was the worst product I have ever used. It is rare that I give one star ratings to food that is so bad that I throw it out rather than consume it. It didn't take me long to consume the entire can because I was hungry. Hence, if you intend to try these cans at all, I suggest that you try a single can of each.

The books looked nice and smelled neat as well when I opened them. Eating them, on the other hand, is a different story. Giving my mouth a bite of one of them made it turn into an unpleasant powder. In addition to the awful texture, the taste wasn't present at all, or maybe it was there and I just didn't notice it. It is only a small ray of hope that I was able to mash them up into a cracker spread that was reasonable.
