They are, in fact, a Spanish product. I buy them on a regular basis, and I just did a quick check.

I intend to purchase again.
The fruit is delicious, but the price was exorbitant!.
For our oldest granddaughter, we buy Mandarin Oranges from Trader Joe's. Due to her health, she has been on a very restricted diet since she was five years old. She eats mostly fruits and vegetables, with a little meat thrown in here and there. She's a tiny 14-year-old, but she'll eat all of our fruits and vegetables in a matter of days. I bought four cans of Mandarin oranges, figuring they'd last a couple of days in the house with the rest of the fruit options. However, as soon as she got home, she opened two cans, sat down at the counter, and ate her mid-afternoon snack. Yes, you could say these are a pantry staple in our house. I enjoy purchasing foods for my granddaughter that I know will satisfy any hunger pangs while also being a healthier alternative to sugary snacks. I appreciate that these are not made in China; this is a huge plus in our house! ) I'm curious if the can lining is coated with the cancer-causing PVC, which I hope it isn't. We've noticed in the past that if you leave food in an open can overnight, it tends to taste a little metalish in the morning, similar to how other can products did before the shiny coating was added; however, this may or may not mean there's no PVC, I'm not sure. Except for these, it appears that all canned Mandarin oranges now come from China, which I find to be untrustworthy.
