When buying grapefruit I usually buy it in the refrigerated section at the grocery store. I wasn't looking forward to refrigerating the dish until it was opened, however I needed a good substitute. While I realize we are paying for the segments only, I still feel that this is a bit unfair. Although they sure do cost a lot. Grapefruits are usually purchased at the supermarket in either white or pink varieties.

There used to be canned grapefruit sections available in a number of grocery stores Since I last found any, it has been years. These were a nice surprise to find!
