Cans that have been dented
3/5

Eight of the twelve cans had dents, some of which were quite severe. I'm not sure I'll be able to use them at all. I haven't tried any of them yet, so I can't comment on their flavor.

At least half of the cans had been severely harmed
3/5

Amazon is critical in the current covid crisis. This item, on the other hand, appears to have spent years in a basement. At least six of the cans were discolored and appeared to be leaking from their seams. It increases the risk of botulism or worse in canned goods.

The product is incorrect! Instead of black beans, I got black lentils
3/5

I've already opened the package (thinking it was just the way they labeled them), so I'm unable to return it. I was ecstatic to find out that BPA-free products were available. I got some free black beans, but now I have to figure out how to use an entire case of lentils. I double-checked to make sure I hadn't ordered the lentils by accident, but the error was not mine. Amazon has never let me down before, but this time it has.

The water in the cans was mostly full
3/5

I purchased a dozen of these cans. Unfortunately, the first two were only half full of beans, with the remainder being water when I opened them. There were only 130g of beans left after draining the water. I allowed for it because mistakes happen, but it turned out that this was the case with all of them. I made a chilli with them with the intention of using three cans, but I ended up using six. I'm irritated because this is a high-priced item, and you wouldn't expect them to try to defraud you. br>Well, I'm not going to buy them again, and I wouldn't advise anyone else to waste their money on them. There are other brands that have a consistent level of quality.

Instead, I received a pound of Great Northern White Beans
3/5

Organic black beans are one of my favorites. However, instead of the organic Great Northern white beans, I received the organic Great Northern white beans. br>br>I don't want to be bothered with returning these beans, but the organic black beans would have been preferable. br>br>In addition, the majority of the dozen cans had been dented.

Anyone following a plant-based diet will benefit from this addition
4/5

Diet on the basis of After having been on a 100% plant for a 100% period of time on% I've been eating a plant-based diet for almost a year and consider beans to be a vital source of protein! So I went on a quest to find the healthiest, highest-quality beans I could find - a product made entirely of organic ingredients, with no added salt, with no fat or cholesterol and a healthy amount of high-quality protein per serving I think I've found it in the Westbrae organic bean brand! And I adore how delicious the beans are when I season them with herbs and spices and toss them into a salad or a cooked dish!.

10 OUT OF 12 CANS WERE DENTED (SOME WERE CRUSHED) WHEN THEY ARRIVED - PLUS, 4 MONTHS LATER, MY ADDENDUM
3/5

It's a nightmare! Ten of the twelve cans were severely dented when they arrived! Botulism is most commonly spread by dents in cans. Cans with deep dents should be avoided at all costs. "Botulism is caused by the bacteria Clostridium botulinum, and it occurs when a dent or damage to a can creates even a pinhole-sized opening. " size of the opening The bacteria thrive in the combination of air and moisture from the food inside the can, contaminating the food. Low- Botulism is most commonly found in acidic foods like green beans and mushrooms. "Beans are a low-acid food, and almost every can has a ding in it. It doesn't matter because the cans were well-boxed. It doesn't appear to be a shipping-related issue? OF COURSE, THE DENTED CANS COULD HAVE OCCURRED DURING SHIPPING, BUT IS IT REALLY WORTH TRYING THE BEANS IN CASE IT IS BOTULISM? I AM A REGISTERED DIETITIAN AND A NUTRITIONIST, SO I KNOW A LOT ABOUT BOTULISM. EVEN THOUGH BOTULISM IS RARE, IT IS NOT WORTH THE RISK. IT IS WAY TOO RISKY! ADDENDUM: I had to add an addendum because I was so taken aback! These beans were bought in September of last year. 2015 Approximately three years ago, In early January, four months later. In 2016, the same 12 cans of beans cost FOUR TIMES AS MUCH! Although I understand inflation, this price increase is absurd! If only the cans had been delivered in good shape the first time: (I wouldn't have mind if a few cans had been severely dented. ) Almost every one, however, had been BADLY CRUSHED/DENTED! PERHAPS THE SELLER TOOK A HUGE LOSS SELLING SO DENTED CANS TO SO MANY PEOPLE AND HAD TO MAKE UP FOR THE LOST PROFIT BY CHARGING FOUR TIMES THE AMOUNT THEY CHARGED JUST THREE. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CHECKED YOUR CALENDAR?.

Rich in flavor and plump
5/5

These beans are particularly appealing to me because they are plump and flavorful. I make two servings from one can, and I add onions and ground pepper to enhance the flavor. It appeals to me because it is gluten-free and does not contain any soybean products. The price paid was well worth it.
