There are two labels for ranch style pintos with jalapeo. The original company makes one, while Conagra Foods makes the other. There are no saturated fats in either. br>br> As a result, the fat is considered to be 'healthy. ' If anything, it connotes taste. The higher salt and sugar content is intended to make it more addictive to our msg-addicted brains. br>br>Refined sugar is the world's number one addiction; it's added to everything, and type 2 diabetes is claiming the lives of everyone.
This style has a small amount of jalepeno in it, which adds a little zing to my chili. Just a little bit. I'll put two in if I'm feeling particularly saucy. If I'm feeling particularly brave, I'll throw in some Ranch Style Beans with Red Pepper. They produce a flavorful and zesty chili. Don't drain them because they have an excellent sauce. For a one-pound batch of chili, I use two cans, alternating with one can Ranch Style and one can black beans on occasion. But these are the only beans I use in my chili where the sauce actually improves the flavor. Oh, and there's a little trick as well. Add some dark chocolate to the chili when it's almost done. In a one-pound batch, I use about 1/4 cup shredded cheese. Although you won't be able to detect any chocolate, your chili will be delicious! I occasionally toss in a beer as well.
I was ecstatic to order these from Amazon because I adore jalapenos but don't eat beef or pork. There's no mention of it being non-vegetarian or made with beef anywhere in the description! What a letdown! I now have six cans of food that are completely useless. (Is there anyone interested? (I'll contact Amazon and the company for a more accurate description and a refund:).
I use them in spicy soups and eat them on their own. Huevos rancheros is another dish I enjoy making with them.
Tastes great and isn't like anything you'd find in the supermarket.
Finally, I've discovered the ideal spicy bean. I'm not sure how else to put it.
