These are the good, natural kind, with a wonderful, rich flavor and no unnecessary additives. These beans are one of my favorites. My trick is to fry them in salted butter and top them with vidalia onions chopped. Sprinkle with shredded Sargento Authentic Mexican Cheese if desired. So good!.

Beans, water, and lard are all that's needed to make this dish. These beans have a similar flavor to the ones you'd find at your grandmother's house. Mexican eatery with a youthful vibe Half a can serving has about 1/3 of the daily recommended salt intake and about 2 grams of saturated fat, but it's packed with flavor and healthy plant protein and fiber.

I don't like changes in recipes, so I was thrilled to find this on Amazon after being unable to find it in my local stores for quite some time

Unfortunately, the recipe has been altered; the ingredients remain the same, but it appears and tastes as if significantly more lard has been added; the flavor is muted, and the appearance is very pale. This makes me angry.

ALMOST good enough to be served in a restaurant

Our favorite Mexican restaurant is closed due to the Covid 19 pandemic. limits. These beans are very similar to the beans served in restaurants, which are freshly prepared. The texture and flavor are both excellent. We're going to buy some more of these.
