I don't have any garbanzo beans or chickpeas in my pantry. Butter beans and black beans are among the beans I have on hand. The instructions on both cans state that the beans should be drained and rinsed. Unless the beans have been seasoned or marinated in a vinaigrette; Draining and rinsing is a good idea.
At a reasonable price, this is a great product.
No, they aren't cooked under pressure. We used a frying pan or the microwave to prepare the beans.

Garbanzo beans are frequently used in my kitchen, and I prefer organic varieties. Buying them in bulk was extremely convenient during the pandemic, though I was concerned about receiving dented cans. S& W beans are delicious and arrived in good condition. I was quite pleased because there were no dents. I'm going to order some more. br>br>11/2020 Update: They also provide excellent customer service. I just placed an order for a case of kidney and black beans. The kidney beans were actually garbanzo beans, and the black beans arrived with more than half of them severely dented. I contacted the company via Amazon and received a response within a few hours stating that replacement cases would be sent the next day and that I could keep the original cases. I'm confident that I'll be able to order from them in the future, and that any problems will be resolved quickly. If you're looking for great organic beans, give them a try!.
According to USDA can safety guidelines, every single can had been dented in an unsafe way: The seams of the cans were dented, or they had a large enough dent that I could stick my finger in them. They tried to blame UPS, but the outside packaging was in perfect condition. br>br>I'm giving a high rating because the seller refunded my money and replaced my order. The new shipment's cans are in excellent condition.
S is a bit pricey, but it's worth it. W's canned goods are of the highest quality. Our two rescued African Grey birds love them just the way they are, so we use them for salads. I washed off the remaining salt from the beans before serving them, and I kept the rest of the can in a tightly covered dish in the refrigerator. They also enjoy them when they are served cold.
Only one can was undamaged out of the entire batch. I had to throw out nearly every one of the others because they were so crushed. These cans were clearly damaged before being packed and shipped, as I could see. I'm not going to buy any more of these. What a colossal squandering of resources.
