Questions & Answers
Loma Linda is attempting to go out of business by raising the price of their products.
March 2024 is written on the can I purchased a month or two ago. But I'm sure you won't be able to wait that long! They're simply too good to be true.
They're made out of soy. If you haven't tried them before, you'll be surprised at how different they are. I'd contact Amazon as well as Loma Linda.

Perfect for bun-less burgers. These are more appealing to me than frozen vegetarian burger patties, which can be dry and rubbery. In my opinion, these can be used in any chop steak recipe. These can be baked, grilled, or even microwaved. They were able to withstand the test of time and were also edible. Because they have such a mild flavor, seasoning them to taste was simple.
I grew up eating a variety of Loma Linda products, and it appears that the recipes have changed in the last few months. The prime stakes have become much softer and more prone to falling apart, as well as having a slightly different flavor and odor. I've noticed similar changes in the flavors of other Loma Linda products, so I'm guessing it's a recipe change or a production switch. I bought this can on Amazon to see if the cans I had from a local market were just part of a bad batch, but the differences from my expectations are still present. They aren't objectively bad, and some people may enjoy the changes, but I am not a fan of the new version enough to keep buying it.
What is the purpose of the crunch? My favorite cut of meat is prime steak, but the can I received was awful! Specifically, the steaks tasted as if they were strewn with sand, broken glass, or bugs. Something strangely crunchy and unsettling. I couldn't pinpoint the source, but it happened with every bite until I couldn't stand it any longer! Disappointed to the extreme!.
These are extremely tasty. The only disadvantage is their exorbitant cost.
These Prime Stakes had escaped my notice for a long time. Since I gave up being a vegetarian in 2002, I hadn't had them. I bought them on a whim, just for the heck of it, and then remembered why I loved them so much. These were the best meat substitutes in the days before the "Impossible Burger," and I believe they are still as good as or better than real meat in some ways. And the gravy is fantastic! Try them!.
Although the gravy was delicious, it was a little salty. The texture of the patties was good, but the flavor was lacking.
I've been a vegetarian for 25 years and have tried everything there is to try as a vegetarian. The texture is too mushy, and the salt content is excessive.
It's similar to a salsbury steak in appearance.
