This is terrible. Don't do it. I just don't understand how people can put up with this! There is a very strong dog food smell to this, so I'm assuming that it tastes as well. The taste was so terrible I spit out the rest and threw the rest away. I'm worried people actually like this kind of stuff. There is a bad smell from the edge of the road, like wet tennis shoes. I advise you to stay away from.
Since I've been buying these occasionally for about four years now, though, quarantine and eating everything at home has definitely made me appreciate them and fall in love with them again. These vegan deli style sandwiches are absolutely delicious and have an identical texture to the real thing. For mine, I added diced pickled jalapenos, cantaloupe, mayo, and horseradish mustard to wheat bread. When I cook with tomatoes, I sometimes add them. This is a sandwich I have been making almost every day for a few weeks, and have not yet grown tiresome of it. of these will last for that entire week, maybe a week and 1/2 (for me, however, It's not difficult for me to eat them in sandwiches). In addition, they are easy to freeze. In a previous post, I stated that I had frozen 2 packs, pulled one out of the freezer, I awoke the next day to a flawless day. In order to store them, I take the slices out of the packaging and store them, in ziploc bags, in the refrigerator. There is nothing I love more than vegan meat!!.
All of Tofurky's products are awesome, but this is my favorite. The bread was used to make sandwiches for my friends who aren't vegetarians Their reactions were very positive as they were vegans.
What about salmon? There was nothing spectacular about these. While they weren't particularly bad, they tasted different from what I'm used to. The flavor is too off-putting to avoid substituting turkey or other deli meats in a sandwich. Because it tastes like salmon, I think it would be better on a bagel with some cream cheese. The salmon I am talking about is not real salmon, but fake, The air feels a bit dry as well. I would probably not order these again, but they weren't terrible.
Sandwiches with this "meat" are a regular occurrence in my house. The sandwich tastes good by itself, but it is excellent with wheat bread, vegan mayo, cheese (swiss, vegan), jam or cranberry sauce, lettuce and/or bean sprouts, and a touch of Baby Ray's BBQ sauce (almost As a side note, pet rats go crazy for it.
These are ideal for vegan and vegetarian sandwiches on a regular basis. It always seems like I'm trying to find them when I place my orders with Fresh, but last week they were available and I bought Today, I tried to order again and they were once again unavailable. It's likely that I'm not the only one struggling with this.

My mind is blown! It has a great taste. Lunch meats without the salty taste you get with processed It has the flavor of smoked turkey, but a little Sliced meat on a regular sandwich is not a thing I miss. I will keep this in my diet for the rest of my life. It is great to see such healthy and tasty alternatives being made available.
