Although it's vegan, it tastes good. It reminds me of Tempeh strips, which I used to eat years ago, but I no longer see them in the stores. In this can there is no tomato sauce though it's sort of like ground beef consistency when it's cooked the outside may gel up a little, but it doesn't contain charred outside. This might make nice jerky if it were I also think that this stays kind of grainy and doesn't quite reach the point of steak. I think it would be better to add a bay leaf for flavor to pasta or tacos.

Fixing it if it ain't broke is a bad idea! They have changed the texture of the veggie burger, which was always my favorite

Patty shapes were already hard to form and maintain because the meat was soft and difficult to mold. There is nothing more mushy than that! Although I was able to season it well, it was difficult for me to keep it in one piece on a piece of bread. Making a change to what was already working is a bad move.
