I had an idea in mind for this dish and it worked well. I was hoping to find one of these in my local store, but there weren't any, so this was convenient.
Minor's Shrimp Base is one of the best in the game. Several of the seafood bases I've tried have been flavorful, but on the high end they all taste fishy. The Minor's Shrimp Base, on the other hand, tastes like shrimp and smells The ingredients in this dish are excellent and make a very rich, tasty You just have to follow the instructions since it doesn't take as much as some of It's still as good as when I tried it when I first tried it about several months ago. I keep mine in the refrigerator. The price is higher, but well worth the extra effort. Since then, all shrimp and seafood dishes I prepare have this recipe as a standard.
Tommy Bahamas crab bisque is the only reason I bought it. It is complicated to make, but I had an amazing soup from it. 1/4 cup of base is expensive, Do I intend to purchase it again in the future? Without a doubt!.
I love this product. In the past, I used shrimp boullion cubes, but those tasted more like fish during cooking. Additionally, I appreciate the fact that there is not a lot of salt in the food. You only need a little bit to make a huge difference.
As far as the soup base was concerned, I was very disappointed. This is not to say that it has a bad taste -- it is just that shrimp is definitely not a It's not more than what you might expect of a fish base. Although it has a fish base, you can clearly see that the flavors used are not natural as the FDA would recognize them as such, although we would be surprised to see where they originate. I would say that there is a lot more juice than shrimp meat in this dish since it is made from shrimp, natural shrimp liquids, and shrimp salt. Salt was a lot, as one would expect with the type of food. If you want to replace this, you would do better spending your money on frozen shrimp with the equivalent cost. So you would have a more authentic flavor and would be able to control the salt a lot more.
We find the product to be very good, but it is more than we can afford. Another similar product is available locally at roughly half the price, and it is almost as good.
The easy way! One of our favorite restaurants had a delicious gumbo, so we told everyone about it. We were told that Minor's Shrimp Base is used by the restaurant. This was something we could not wait to order and try. This was not a disappointment for us. It adds so much to the flavor of gumbo when Minor's Shrimp Base is used. It is something that we will never let go of. I like it very much! It is absolutely fantastic, and well worth the money!.
If you are longing for Louisiana cuisine, this is the product for you. I find it to be a good stock to have.
