The shell is still intact and the eyes are not deveined, even though they are headless. Shells are thinner on cherry shrimps than Gulf shrimp and can be easily peeled off with no problem. I was very impressed with the quality. My recommendation is to try it.
In my opinion, that would translate to 16 to 18 pounds

There are two 2 1/2 lb packages of large frozen shrimp (13 a pound), individually frozen. A carton of packages with ice packs is shipped inside a styrofoam cooler. Since I wanted to try Royal Reds for a long time, I decided to order them. They are decent, but not as good as our local penaeid shrimp (pink, brown, white). Due to the fact that they are individually frozen, I was especially happy to be able to pick out as many as I want from the freezer, while Some are not deveined, and some are in a shell.
I especially appreciate the addition of a pound for the 2lb bags. It was definitely worth the price and I would buy it again.

I drove to Key West to have a pound of these shrimp for Although this order was for five pounds, I felt that this was not There seems to be more than three pounds there. In retrospect, I'm not sure why I didn't weight it at In talking with my two friends, they also felt the same way. While in key West, I highly recommend the shrimp, as it was similar to what I had there.
It costs a little after shipping, but they are worth it in the end.
There is no better alternative for those of us who don't live close enough to get them from the Gulf but can't get them from the Gulf.
The seafood was great, the packaging was excellent, and the delivery was quick.
