The amount of salt you use will vary from teaspoon to tablespoon
There are no emulsified flavors in this shrimp, so it just has a salty, dried taste to it.
In Kim Chee at least, this has not been expanded a great deal.

As soon as I received the product, I noticed the packaging stated "Keep Refrigerated" instead of Despite the fact that I know the product wasn't kept in the fridge before it came to me for an unknown amount of time, I would not recommend purchasing and consuming it.
There should be a zero rating for this! At the time I decided to use them, the shrimp were brown and spoiled. Purchased shrimp with plans to use later, but they were spoiled by the time I wanted to cook with them (5 months later). The package does not have an expiration date and dried food will usually last for a long time, especially when it is packaged under pressure. This is not a product I would suggest to anyone to buy.
NOT AT ALL! It is quite obvious that these dried shrimp are highly saline, in addition to which, they have artificial flavoring added to them. Buying some from a Thai food store in my town, and HUGE satisfaction!.
My favorite dried shrimp snack is jerky. Since I'm from Louisiana, I like dried shrimp a lot. The strong smell and taste might be too much for some people but that's dried concentrated seafood, so what do you expect? Don't forget not to make out after ingesting any dried seafood. I think it's pretty close to the shrimp that you buy in Baton Rouge at Tony's Seafood. When you open the pack you notice a slight smell of sulphur, but it disappears once it has aired Whether I cooked with them or ate them straight up, I would definitely use them. Because it is a Taiwanese product, I won't be buying local, but I think it tastes good. Although the product contains artificial color and sulphur dioxide (a common preservative), I am very happy with the product in general.
This is an affordable alternative to the higher priced freeze dried cat treats that I usually buy for my cats. There is such a long life to them, and they love them However, they did not last long because of how they were consumed. The product I will use from now on is this one. A great product at an affordable price, high quality, and the customers Although I understand it's a human food, they're out of my cooking scope, so I haven't tried them myself, but I found them to be extremely tasty for exactly what I needed them for.
The smell is deathly, but once cooked, they are cooked nicely and have a wonderful flavor. I don't give them to my cat because she disagrees with my odor assessment about the dried seafood. I do give them to my cat only prior to cooking, but it's normal for a dried seafood product to have an odor prior to cooking. The shrimp jar draws her attention as if it were bonito flakes she gets as a treat and she appears out of thin air as soon as I open it. You can store them in a jar to maintain their freshness and protect your cat.
As I read the CA proposition 65 label on the package, I wonder why this product is being sold at all. Sorry to hear that.
A few months ago, I had purchased it. As soon as I think it is going to be good, it turns into a horrible experience. After about 1 and a half months of storing in a cabinet (dry, room temperature), I realized the product had a bad odor and darkened soon after. In the end, I could not find any information (in English) regarding how to store it after it has been opened. Since I have no issues with previous purchases of dry shrimp that I purchased at a Chinese grocer, I am suspicious. In case other readers are wondering, it probably makes more sense if you keep it dry and refrigerate.
