Some of these dishes are difficult to make because they require a lot of ingredients (and time). I made sauce arachide (peanut sauce/stew) with the crayfish, and it tasted exactly like the flavors I had in Africa. This can be done in a Cajun style as well. dishes. This is a product that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys African cuisine.
This was my first experience with crayfish. It was intended for cooking, but I ate it all. I'd like to buy more, but it doesn't appear to be available any longer.
I like it and will probably be a long-term customer because it is of good quality and delivered on time: Thanks.
As advertised, a good product.
Zesty. To be used in the kitchen.
This product has a lot of shells, which I don't like.
This is an excellent product.
I enjoy trying new foods, so I was intrigued when JEB FOODS offered me the chance to try both their dried Crayfish and Egusi ground melon seeds. I searched the internet for Nigerian soups and stews that included both ground crayfish and egusi, and I tried a recipe for Nigerian Egusi Stew (see photo of JEB FOODS ground crayfish next to JEB FOODS Egusi). I had to make a few substitutions: I substituted chicken for the beef (which is what I had), coconut oil for the red palm oil, and spinach for the bitter greens, but I was delighted to have the actual ground crayfish, which isn't a common ingredient in our supermarkets. This is a whole crayfish, not a ground crayfish, but I'm going to use my ground crayfish info because the ground and whole crayfish taste the same, and the whole crayfish are already tiny. br>br>In order to make this stew, I used about 1/3 cup of ground crayfish (tastes and smells like dried seafood), which is lightly salty even without any added salt, and had a hearty feel and pleasant taste. y, as in something you'd find extremely satisfying, especially. If you've been eating this since you were a child. I don't have much to compare this brand's crayfish to other brands, but it did add a umami-rich element to the dish. This tasty stew had a nice depth of flavor thanks to the type of flavoring. The crayfish, I believe, is an essential component of the stew; without it, it would not have tasted nearly as good. This seasoning reminds me of how anchovies are used and thought of. They have a strong flavor on their own, but they also bring out and enhance the savory flavors in a dish.
