Porter & York, Aged Prime Beef Filet Mignon 8oz 4-pack

Obviously, these are quite costly--I paid $76 for the pair when I placed my order. It's fantastic to have a truly premium option for getting a nice meal delivered for a special occasion. br>br>I ordered these on a Thursday so that I could marinate them overnight and grill them the next day. I've cooked a lot of steaks, and these were among the best I've ever had, whether in or out of a steakhouse. On a thicker cut like this, the 24 hour marinade is crucial. br>br>If you'd rather stay in and grill a premium steak at home than go out, order this with a nice red wine and you'll be fine. I've started getting most/all of my produce from a local farmer's market, and ordering a nice meal and a few staples from Fresh. The Porter's produce is hit or miss, but Amazon's is consistently good. The steaks served in York are of exceptional quality.

These steaks were absolutely delicious! I'd get the 10 oz and, because it was so thick and I'm not a great cook, I'd cut it in half so I'd have two thinner pieces. 5 oz was more than enough (at least, that's what they say!). As a result, a single steak can easily feed two people. The meat is extremely tender, melting in your mouth. They were fine because it came fresh and could be frozen until ready to eat. USDA Prime and grass fed MAKE A DIFFERENCE! You must try this quality of meat if you have never had it before.

10 ounce steak seared for 4 minutes on each side, 4 minutes in a 450°F oven, 5 minutes resting on a plate covered in foil (not in the hot skillet). This will produce a lovely medium rare steak that will melt in your mouth!.

This was a Father's Day present for my father. He's visited every major steakhouse in the world. He declared it to be the best steak he'd ever eaten. This is not what I expected to hear! From now on, I expect this to be his Father's Day gift.

For my sister's birthday, I ordered a four-pack of filet mignon. I was nervous because it was my first time ordering meat online, and I didn't want to be a victim of clever marketing and a subpar product. They were a big hit, thankfully! The cuts arrived at their house in a timely manner. They had just cooked them the day before and said they were ruined for steaks in the future because they were so good. My sister's wife even commented that she had never eaten steak before. br>br>I'm glad it worked out, and I'll remember this for future presents.

For Father's Day, I purchased the 4 Aged Prime Beef Filet. Because of the Corona virus, I was unable to see him. He's 92 years old and still gets along fine. I sent these to him for Father's Day, and he and his wife both raved about how good they were, and how happy they were to know they'd have another night's dinner because there were four of them. The ideal present for someone you care about but don't know what to get them.

I marinated the steaks, used the Anova cooker, and then seared them in a cast iron pan, and it was the best steak I've ever had. I served it with a tasty bernaise sauce on top. With a fork, I could cut! I will definitely purchase again! The cut of meat was absolutely perfect.

Amazing. br>br>As well as the product, the company is fantastic. Customer service of the highest caliber. br>br>Expensive, yes; value, top shelf. It was well worth the money. Really.
