Questions & Answers
It is stated on their website that it is wild caught; otherwise, calling it "Wild Alaska" would be misleading and deceptive - Observe the following: br>"Ocean-bound" is a phrase used to describe a body of water. Our Wild Alaskan Salmon has a silky texture and a delicate flavor, having been caught in the cold, icy waters of Alaska.
The box states that it is owned by the United States of America, but it does not specify where the product was processed. I'll buy these salmon burgers again because they're delicious.
Celiac disease is a disease that I suffer from. I had these for dinner, and they were delicious. The following day, I was horribly ill. If you're gluten-free, proceed with caution.
In the ingredients list, there is no mention of dairy.

Even when covered in cheese (which helps with a lot of things), the taste of something overly processed lingered. These have no resemblance to real food and certainly no resemblance to salmon.
If you're going to eat fish, I don't believe you'll find a fish that's any healthier than wild caught salmon. Yes, there is another oil in these patties, which I assume had to be in them since they have been pre-cooked, and they must be cooked until fully done, which to me means crispy to the bite. Even though the salmon is cooked, it still contains the essential omega three fatty acids. The other oil blends in with the background. I find that slow baking them on low heat gives them the best flavor. I don't fry them because the outsides are more likely to be done but the insides aren't. And I try to stay away from frying as much as possible. I usually serve them with a slice of Gouda cheese and mustard; I'm sure mayo or tartar sauce would improve the flavor, but you'd be adding more oil, sodium, and saturated fat. I believe the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages of having oil in them; I wouldn't buy them unless they were on sale. I'm glad they got so many five-star reviews, but I give them four stars and, while I don't buy them on a regular basis, I do occasionally.
I was slicing one up to give to my toddler after cooking them from frozen when I broke a piece in half and saw something coiled up fall out of the meat, about the size of a pea. I discovered it was a worm after a closer examination, and it still makes me sick. They were thrown out in the trash. . . How disgusting!.
The burgers had a good nutritional profile: That can be seen by looking at the ingredients list. The lack of flavor in the burgers, on the other hand, was a disappointment. They were also a little drier than I would have liked. I topped them with avocados, which helped, but this is the type of burger that needs cheese or something flavorful on top.
They're not breaded, but they're delicious on their own. I cooked them on the stove top with a small amount of oil, as recommended by another reviewer. They turned out fantastically!.
I dill them and saute them in butter.
I've bought this several times and it's always delicious!.
I don't like fish, but if the flavor is mild, I'll eat it. My boyfriend, on the other hand, will eat almost anything, and he thought it was a little strange. After a few bites, I discarded my patty. My boyfriend ate his patty, but we both agreed that it smelled and tasted fishy and wasn't fresh. br>br>The texture was excellent, and the color was exactly what I had hoped for. It just. . It was not well received. (Though it's worth noting that neither of us experienced any negative side effects as a result of eating these fish patties. )br>br>Not recommended if you're not a fan of strong fishy flavors.
