In the end, I received a matzo ball mix rather than the curry powder I ordered. Do you know if matzo ball mix and soup mix are the same and if only matzo ball mix is different?

You need to return it. You can tell they made a mistake from the sound of it. It contains two separate packets of mix. One is for the soup and the other is for the balls. Mix one envelope with water (or I sometimes add carrots to make it variety-friendly) and it makes the soup, while the second is mixed with egg and oil to make My favorite brand is Streit's . I've tried different brands and now only buy Streit's

Since mine didn't expire until January of 2020, it's obviously going to expire at different times. Never had one out of date though. Hard to find matzo meal here to make my own matzo balls or dumplins as my southern hubby calls them.

If you buy a box at safeway on sale, it costs $2 and it costs $3 when not. Buying in bulk is more expensive than buying in smaller quantities? Could you clarify this for me?

There may be some reason that we cannot get it in the country because it is rarely found here, so that's why it is more expensive here.

make everything from scratch, but lately I have been having trouble making matzo ball soup for my jewish husband. We had run out of time, and I totally took to the Streit's soup mix out of desperation. This was his favorite! He loved it! To be honest, I don't even know what the taste of homemade to my husband is supposed to be like? But Streit's sound just right!.

Are food manufacturers going to learn any time soon? It's always possible to add more salt to a dish if the consumer desires, but we can't take the sodium out of dishes. You have to keep that in mind- We all have to be watchful of our salt intake, especially those of us who do. Other than that, it was a good and easy dish to prepare. Since there is too much sodium in this product, I will not buy it again.

This is the best matzo ball soup you'll ever eat

The time period. You can't go wrong with a bowl of Streit's Matzo Ball Soup when you're sick. In the event that Streit's is unavailable, I will not even buy the other brands. If I want to bulk it up a little, I throw in a few shredded carrots and frozen peas, but it's great as is. There is no other brand that.

There are no similar items from other makers that taste better than this. My shopping during Covid was easier now that I found it online instead of going to a store in person.
