For $21, you can get two 64-ounce jars of pickled okra. 74, or $6 for a 16-ounce jar of pickled okra from the grocery store. Here's where there's a lot more good stuff! I can put some in a separate jar and add some red pepper flakes or a jalapeno and let it marinate for a while if I want it to be spicy, but I usually just eat them straight from the jar because they are perfect as is. These are a must-try if you like okra.
I prefer my pickled okra to be slightly crisp near the stem and slightly soft near the end/middle. On the texture front, this brand of okra nailed it. They were delicious, just as I had hoped. It's just the right amount of tangy and salty for a perfect balance. This okra will probably be too mild for you if you like the "Talk O Texas" brand. "Old South" is the brand to go with if you want a more mellow flavor. br>The package arrived on time, and I ordered two jars, each of which was individually double-wrapped. surrounded by bubble wrap Because I live at an APO address and many packages arrive torn open or broken, the protective packaging was a welcome sight.
