I can't remember the last time I ate roast beef this salty. There is a reason why the meat in some of the delis in supermarkets never has any salt because their competitors use a lot more salt. Too much salt or too little salt is like too much or too little.
As part of my order, I purchased sliced roast beef from two different vendors. I liked the Oscar Mayer better than the Hormel A deli counter would be a better comparison.
If you had never eaten roast beef but were only accustomed to eating bologna and hot dogs, you would not know what to expect. Imagine the flavor and texture of roast beef one day when someone asks you that question. You probably would come up with something like this. Regardless of what it is, it's nothing like.
This is one of my favorite sandwiches. The meat is of good quality and tastes great. This is what I use to make roast beef. The open face and sandwiches are both available. In addition to butter, garlic and onion powder, salt and pepper, I add. I can have either a Kaiser roll to make a messy sandwich or I can order Italian sliced bread for an open-face sandwich. I do not want you to ask me why I am telling you all of this.
Though this product was good, I prefer the roast beef that is served in There are a few edges that are too thick and grainy on each slice.
The flavor is great for sandwiches or for a quick dinner with gravy and mashed potatoes. I purchase it whenever it is available at such a low price. The slices can either be heated in PHO or sliced and heated.
I may order from them again, but I am not going to order again.
Compared to Hillshire Farms deli meat, I prefer this to be of a higher quality. Grass-fed beef is better sliced for sandwich meat, so it's more convenient to use.
