We use a lot of it for a lot of different kinds of foods. Even after adding the appropriate seasoning to make tahini dip, we noticed that LIOR Organic Tahini had a bitter taste. Our attempt to hand mix the product produced an unpleasant lumpy dipping sauce as excessive oil separated from the hard sesame paste. We would recommend making it in a blender instead of hand mixing. Even though the plastic container of tahini was sealed, it somehow leaked into the bottom of the The brand of tahini we recommend is not good.
As an avid consumer of Lior tahini, I've purchased a lot of it from small, local markets during the years, but it's now nearly impossible to find where I live, so I was delighted to find It is all I can do at this point to repeat other reviews, as my experience is the same as others. When I opened the container, the inner seal had literally been broken. The container was intact on the outside, but broke on the inside. There is a bit of chaos going on. Though it looked and smelled quite good, I decided to make the sauce that would be served with it. After making falafel, I tried it but it was bitter, so I could not enjoy it. As I wasn't sure if it had gone rancid from exposure, I didn't dare serve it to guests so the entire contents went straight into the compost. (Instead, I made a yoghurt dressing. 2) Live, learn, and move on. Based on other reviews, I see that this was not an isolated event. This is the risk that comes with ordering items that aren't from a reputable retailer I've seen it. It's not something I am willing to risk doing In the end, this was a very costly lesson.
Jar isn't my cup of tea. There are some excellent points in this article Excellent tasting organic brand of tahini paste that is well priced. It is more liquid than paste (not sure why so many products that claim to be 100% sesame seeds these days are so thin It used to be hard to find tahini in cans that I used to buy). However, it is okay to use it for halvah (unless you want to make a stiff candy, in which case you will have to modify your recipe). The only thing I do not like about this bag is its lid, because it does not screw, but instead Tahini gets a vigorous shake before use, and I usually prepare it in this way. It's important for me to keep my thumb over the lid so we don't make a mess (not much of a problem if there are no kids dipping into your tahini stash). * However, this particular brand is not a bad choice to have on hand if you do not have enough time (and a food processor) to grind your own sesame seeds and make a thicker tahini at home.
Despite being good, the seal on top had a dark brown quarter-sized mold growing on it. Inviting is not the best word to use. Tossing it was the right thing to do. It did not have an expiration date printed on it, just a barely visible cryptic message, but I would not be surprised if it was several years past its If I could, I would feed it to my chickens, but I will not poison.
Unfortunately, I did not like it it does not compare to the one that I can buy in a.
To me, my hummus tastes more like what you might find in the middle east. I thought it was something I didn't miss until I tried I plan to continue using it as long as I have access to it. The only brand I've ever used, so I can't give it a comparison to another brand but I don't really taste the need to try another one. Also, it's smooth and tastes very good.
I really liked the taste and there wasn't any separation of oil and rock in the fried rice. There are a lot of hard sections like on some.
