The flavor was a little bitter and the texture was too dry for me. However, I recently tried Just Egg, which had a great texture but a slightly off flavor. It was almost too good to be true. In any case, I chose to combine the two. I combined one packed tablespoon of veg, two tablespoons of water, and about two eggs worth of Just Egg. After that, I poured it into a buttered pan and fried it like an egg, and it tasted and felt almost exactly like real scrambled eggs! I've had it every day for over a week because I'm so addicted to it! These two companies should consider collaborating, as they would be the best scrambled egg substitute on the market!.
So far, it's my favorite, and I'll be ordering it again. Pros:
- The texture is fantastic, and it even has an eggy odor.
- br>- Quickly cooked. It has a pleasant flavor and works well as a flavor carrier. Pico de gallo and shredded "cheese" were added to the mix. "
- There are more than 20 grams of plant-based protein in this product. Low fat, low carb, plant-based protein This was a huge win for me because I lift weights and keep track of my macros.
- (Ordered online) Availability I'm sick of looking for Just Egg on store shelves, but I'd rather have an egg substitute than a tofu scramble. Follow Your Heart was never one of my favorites (too time consuming to prepare and too mooshy). br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product.
- Of course, there is a cost. Unless you have Prime, it'll cost you around $14 for a bag of 12 eggs plus shipping. br>br>Overall: This is one I strongly suggest. So far, it's my favorite, and I'll be ordering it again.
There are two minutes remaining. Return to the microwave for 30 seconds after mixing it up and adding your favorites. Onions and bean salsa were added to my photo. A delicious egg substitute!.
I'm glad I like the other product because this fell far short of my expectations! I followed the "highly recommended" microwave cooking instructions to a tee, except instead of 6 minutes (3 sessions of 2 minutes), I cooked for 6 minutes. I had to stop after 4 minutes because the product was nearly rock hard. (I added the vegan 'butter' and salt/pepper recommended, but it tasted nothing like eggs at all. ) I've returned to my old brand and am once again enjoying faux scrambled eggs! Please accept my apologies for the poor rating. ).
I was very excited to get my hands on this. Since learning that I'm allergic to both egg whites and yolks, I've avoided eating them. Because I adore eggs, this was heartbreaking news for me. Hard boiled, poached, and scrambled omelets, at the very least. Making eggs with my family on Saturday and Sunday mornings was one of my favorite family traditions. So I've been looking for an alternative to chick pea flower and sometimes just mashed chick peas fried with diced onion, minced garlic, and some chopped sliced turkey for a long time. br>br>When I saw this product, I knew it would rekindle my love affair with eggs for breakfast, so I ordered it and when it arrived, I opened it, fired up the stove, and made some of my Vegg Power Scramble. With a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper, I sat down to try them. I was disappointed. br>br> br>br>Tried them again today with some vegan cheddar shreds and (real) ham, sat down to try them again, and was underwhelmed once more. br>br>That's all there is to it. To make it taste like scrambled eggs, you'll need to add salt, pepper, and some of the other ingredients you'd normally use in a scramble. br>br>However, I must say that Vegg's other egg yolk-mimicking product is uncannily close to the real thing. This review will be added to the product page. However, that runny yolk is 100% spot on if you miss it.
It wasn't the best tasting, but with a little seasoning, it was fine. My daughter, who is allergic to eggs, enjoyed it with cheese on top. I tried cooking it in the microwave because it was the "preferred method" on the package and followed the directions exactly, but it didn't turn out well. I made it in a frying pan and it turned out to be egg-like.
I've recently gone vegan and have been having trouble finding an adequate egg substitute. The Just Eggs tasted bad to me, and they're made in a facility that also sells eggs, so they didn't appeal to me. So I decided to give Vegg a try, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much better they were, and I will be purchasing them in the future. br>br>Delivery period - It arrived in a flash. br>Value for money - I thought these were a little pricey for the number of servings in the bag, but then I realized the serving suggestion made way more eggs than I could eat- They're a lot of food for a small amount of money. I believe the correct serving size is half of the suggested serving size (2 tbsp rather than 4 tbsp). br>Appeal to the senses - They don't really taste like eggs, but they're tasty; they remind me of grits with a smoother texture. I like to season them with garlic powder to give them a more eggy flavor. If you want something that tastes like an egg, I like to put them on top of an english muffin with veggie bacon:.
I've tried a lot of egg substitutes, and my favorite is the Vegg Power Scramble, which I make with a little spice and veggies and it's delicious. I strongly advise you to do so.
