It's simple to use and well worth the money! This recipe can be doubled: 2 cups powdered sugar, 1 1/2 tablespoons to 2 tablespoons (use a half cup more powdered sugar if using 2 tablespoons), 4- 5 tablespoons water and a few drops of gel coloring of your choice (I usually add 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla, almond, or lemon extract depending on the cookies I'm decorating). If not in use for at least two hours, cover with a damp paper towel! Drying time varies depending on the weather. Everyone has the best of luck! The meringue powder should not be kept in the refrigerator. The temperature in the room is perfect.
I've been using Chefmaster meringue powder for a few months now, and I'll never go back to the other brand because it doesn't have the chemical aftertaste that other brands do. Since I started using Chefmaster MP, I've gotten a lot of compliments on my cookies. It has a longer shelf life than W- Additionally, there is a brand. I use 1/3 cup of powdered sugar for a 2 pound bag of powdered sugar, and it always results in the perfect consistency icing that dries shiny!.
I've only made one batch of royal icing, but it came out perfectly. The powder smells good, and the royal icing came together nicely. After reading a cookie decorating blog, I started to wonder if the sudden appearance of horrific air bubbles in my recent batches of icing had anything to do with the meringue powder. The number of bubbles in the batch I made with the Chefmaster was significantly lower, so it's possible that the meringue powder was the issue. I'd buy it again in the future, and I highly recommend it.
This is the second time I've purchased this brand of meringue powder, and both times I've been disappointed. It's very grainy and doesn't work well when piped with a small tip as royal icing. The grains clog the tip of the needle.
I'd have to say it's quite impressive; it makes the royal icing very smooth and dries as quickly as I'd like. Normally, there is no flavor, but it tastes great when I add vanilla or other flavored extracts! I've attached a photo of a cookie I made for a wedding event that was shaped like a postcard; the icing looked fantastic! I am extremely pleased! It comes highly recommended!.
In our family, my daughter bakes. She made cookies and iced them with this. The icing was fantastic. It has a nice "stiffness" to it, without being "watery," and the flavor is excellent; in other words, you can't taste the "meringue," if that makes sense. This, too, was ordered and received within a few days. I also chose this one based on the positive feedback from other reviewers, as well as the fact that it did not taste or smell sulfurous. I agree with you. This makes me very happy.
He enjoys whipping up delectable dishes in the kitchen, and this powder is an essential component of his delectable chocolate mousse. It was "excellent" in his opinion. I'm not complaining because he made mousse. I decided to try my hand at making an angel food cake with it - one of my favorites, especially now that fresh strawberries are beginning to appear at the farmer's market It was simple to use and resulted in a light, fluffy cake, exactly as I had hoped. This book comes highly recommended. I'll be purchasing more in the near future.
Even though I made sure not to, I assumed that the reason my royal icing was hard when bit into was due to overmixing. But it wasn't until I bought this brand and size and followed the same steps that I realized I was most likely using not-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-s Previously, I had a fantastic meringue powder. This meringue powder gave my royal icing a softer bite, which lasted for three days and improved the flavor and texture of my cookies significantly! I'll be buying this one again and again!.
