Vintage White cheddar cheese is as white as it comes! Unlike most commercial cheddars, no yellow or orange food coloring is used.

We will, of course, eat the cheese because it has a pleasant flavor. But it isn't even close to being sharp, let alone extra sharp, in my opinion! I don't believe anyone makes a truly extra sharp any longer. When I took off the plastic wrap, it was still wet. I have no idea what that means, but it seemed important to mention.
Tillamook makes the best value for money cheese. This is the brand to buy if you enjoy cheese. Both the vintage aged white and the yellow sharp cheddar that I purchase are excellent. They ship quickly, and even in Florida, the product arrives cold. There is no cheese that comes close to it. br>Recent changes: br>After purchasing three blocks of this white cheese, I have discovered that it is extremely salty. It wasn't until I was making sandwiches that I became aware of it. It's delicious, but it's a little salty. Perhaps it's because I'm no longer a smoker.
This is a fantastic cheese that can be used in a variety of dishes or simply enjoyed with some good sourdough bread and a glass of wine; I am a huge cheese fan, and this is one of my favorites.
When first opened, it's delicious, but it doesn't keep well in the refrigerator. The extra sharp cheddar (yellow) held up much better and is still tasty. I'd buy it again, but in a smaller quantity this time.
