Generally, we did not buy Sargento cheese in the grocery store because they cost about twice as much as the local store brand. However, this cheese was priced at the same level as the local markets, and I was feeling I enjoyed it very much! Quesadillas made with it are smooth and velvety, with plenty of cheese, and are perfect for tacos. I kept it for some time in our fridge without it developing a funny smell or weird texture at all. As opposed to other cheaper alternatives, this cheese had absolutely no caking agent present (and by that, I mean, no bizarre residues on my finger, no remnants of white powder in the.
The cheese goes nicely with tacos, enchiladas, nachos, and we love it on eggs as well. Buying it is a regular occurrence for us.
