This has a flavor that has been added to it artificially. It doesn't contain any tamarind. Very let down. It has a tamarind-like tang to it, but it lacks the flavor of tamarind.
To avoid swallowing plastic, I recommend being cautious when removing the wrappers. Also, if you have sensitive teeth like I do, avoid biting down on the spoons. Overall, the flavor is pleasant. The candy is sour and spicy, with only a hint of sweetness. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys tamarind candy with a kick.
I used to get this kind of candy from my neighborhood 7-Eleven until recently. 11 (I'm a sucker for this candy and have been craving it for a long time). My 7- When 11 didn't have any one day, I became concerned that they wouldn't be able to sell them, so I looked around to see if there was a better deal. Instead of buying the small packs of four at the 7-Eleven, I'm glad I discovered this vendor. I love the flavor, and the only real difference between these and the ones from 7-Eleven is the texture. 11 (though, to be honest, I prefer these). These are a must-try for anyone who enjoys this type of candy.
The color is much darker than any of the cucharitas I've bought in the last 30 years; these were so dark that they looked like chocolate! They taste terrible and have a terrible aftertaste; I'm disappointed because I only buy this candy a few times a year. I decided to try a new vendor after the place where I usually buy them raised their prices. I'm extremely dissatisfied, and I'm hoping for a refund. It has a very unpleasant chemical flavor to it.
They were rancid, hard, smelled like plastic (which I blame on the plastic wrap), and tasted like plastic.

These were ordered for my sister, who enjoys Mexican candy. She received it in a timely manner and thoroughly enjoyed the various flavors.
