I looked for flavored hard candy and discovered three brands and four flavors (in alphabetical order): br> * Bali Best Espresso Candybr> * Kopiko Candy (Cappuccino)br> * Kopiko Candy (Coffee)br> * Nips Coffee Candybr>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> Two brands were clearly superior to the third, but the third was acceptable - Simply put, it's not something I'd buy again. Likes/Dislikes: br>br>Likes: br>br>Likes: br>br>Likes: b **BALI'S *
Bali's is a hard candy "glass. " " They're the most difficult of the three brands to work with. The fact that the candy's center is filled with an espresso-flavored filling appealed to me. syrup with a flavor It added a burst of flavor (LIKE!). ), which is desperately needed because the hard candy "shell" itself is fairly flavorless (DISLIKE). You end up crunching the candy to get to the syrup, which speeds up the process (but wears down your teeth). br>br>Approximate dimensions: br>br> The pieces are smooth and round, with rounded edges. ish (sharp edges are possible). They're about an eighth of an inch thick and about the size of a dime, but smaller than a nickel. br>br>I'd say they're a good value for the money, but 1) they're only okay (not "good"); and 2) they're only okay (not "good"). 2) they're twice () the price of the brand I preferred; and 3) you eat them faster because you have to crunch them to get to the flavor burst. br>br>Overall, they're fine, but I wouldn't order them again and would only recommend them to others with reservations - Overall, I give it two stars. br>br>** KOPIKO'S *
I was sent two flavors of Kopiko's candy, coffee and cappuccino, which are both hard candy but not necessarily "glass-like. " It's hard candy, but it's definitely "softer" than Bali's (airy?). I'm not sure what to say about it. Balis would shatter like a glass, while Kopikos would shatter like pottery. Although both are tough, pottery is "softer" than "glass. " " I preferred the texture of these candies over the other two (mainly because they could be sucked or crunched, whereas the brand I preferred couldn't be chewed). br>br>The Kopiko's flavor is - both - This is superior to Bali's. It's obvious that they're made with real coffee. You can suck on them for longer because you don't have to crunch to get flavor (though I admit I did crunch). Both flavors are delicious, but I prefer the cappuccino. By more than a dollar per ounce, this is the most expensive of the three brands. They're tasty, but the $1 premium isn't justified. At least, that's not how it appears to me. br>br>Approximate dimensions: br>br> The pieces are rectangular in shape and have a smooth surface. They're about an inch long and a half-inch wide. It's about a quarter to a third of an inch thick and a quarter to a third of an inch wide. br>br>I'd buy either flavor again (though I'd think twice about the price) - Overall, 5 stars (discounted to 3 due to cost). br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> It's described as "rich and creamy hard candy," and it certainly is. It's not possible to crunch it; If you try, it will stick to your teeth. It's not as difficult to work it for free as Bit-Torrent is, but it's still a challenge. Still, it's honeys. I'm always afraid of pulling out fillings or teeth, so I take extra precautions. br>br>However, out of all the ones I bought, Nips has the best coffee flavor. They taste like a slurpable cappuccino. They also last longer than harder candies because you can't crunch or chew on them. They seem a little sweeter to me than the Kopiko, which is a minor disadvantage, but the flavor is well worth it. br>br>Another advantage of Nips is that they are the cheapest of the three (by more than half the price of Bali's). So they're not only the best-tasting (in my opinion), but also the best value for money. br>br>Approximate dimensions: br>br> Although the pieces are round, they are not as smooth as the box depicts. They're about a quarter to a third of an inch thick, bigger than a nickel but smaller than a quarter. br>br>These are something I'd buy again (and again!). 4 stars. I recommend them, but only if you're careful not to damage your teeth or dental work. Summary. br>br> br>** Choose the Nips if you want the best coffee flavor at the best price. br>** Choose the Kopiko if you want a HARD candy (that can be crunched/chewed) with a good coffee flavor (or if you're concerned about Nips candy sticking to your teeth/dental work). They're good, despite their high price tag. br>** Balis aren't terrible, but they aren't great either. I would only recommend them if you were looking for HARD candy rather than "rich and creamy hard candy" and couldn't or didn't want to pay the higher price for Kopiko.
I found it for $1 at a local Walgreens. The $5 is based on the fact that there are 50 boxes in each box. The price I paid was way too high. I'll be buying from that vendor for the last time.
The cost is less than what you'd pay in a store. Because these Nip flavors aren't available in every store, being able to order them from Amazon is convenient. It's a hardened caramel that softens in your mouth, despite the fact that it's marketed as "hard" candy. If you have crowns, resist the urge to chew on them as they sofen. I got my order the next day, which is free with Prime, so that's a plus as well. When it comes to candy, freshness is crucial, and these satisfy that requirement.
On Amazon, prices vary widely, but I've been purchasing these for $11. That is a terrific offer. I was able to get a different flavor (butter rum) for $24, which isn't bad. In theory, this is worth about a dollar. If you're looking for a good deal, keep that in mind. Apart from the coffee flavor, I haven't been able to find any at a reasonable price. br>br>Does anyone else remember having these as a kid and then never seeing them again? They just appeared in my mind, and I was delighted to discover them. My favorite flavors are coffee and butter rum. I used to enjoy parfait as well, but I can't seem to locate any. The only issue is that they're difficult to resist chewing, and I've done a lot of damage to my teeth as a result. I'm not lying when I say that I'm in excruciating pain and that my teeth are stripped. The candy isn't to blame for my lack of self-control, so 5 stars.
However, instead of a Coffee Nip, I prefer to have one! With only 30 calories and the flavor of a creamy cup of coffee, this is the most delectable milk-based beverage. In my humble opinion, the best chocolate-based, coffee-flavored candy on the planet. When they were owned by Pearson coffee nips in St Paul, Minnesota, I used to enjoy these nips for over 30 years.
It has a silky smooth texture and a creamy melt-in-your-mouth texture. your- I'm a coffee connoisseur, and this is the best real coffee flavor I've found! These have long been a favorite of mine, but they can be difficult to come by in stores. I like that I can now buy in bulk and have a supply on hand; give it a shot; you won't be disappointed.
When I couldn't find my favorite Brach's Coffee Candy, I started buying this candy. I've tried nearly every coffee candy on the market, and none of them came close to this one until I discovered it. It's almost the same thing. The flavor is similar to a cup of coffee with a dash of cream. I keep some on hand at all times in my home.
Because there are fewer and fewer stores near me that carry Nips, I've turned to Amazon as my go-to source; some of the less popular flavors are a good deal, but price check carefully. I have a twelve-pack of coffee on hand, and I don't think they'll go bad anytime soon. Definitely better for you than Mallowmar's snacking.
