Questions & Answers
The "Original Toffee" is devoid of chocolate. Maybe there's a different flavor that does; However, I have yet to come across it.
The words "Gluten Free" are printed on the packaging of both the "Original" and "Treacle" Walkers. However, Glucose syrup, which is "derived from wheat," is listed among the candy's ingredients.
It is delivered in a tin tray. however, each one is wrapped separately. Toffee is excellent. It was in Europe that I first tried it. When I returned home, I placed an order on Amazon.

Selected User Reviews For Walkers Original Toffee, 3.5-Ounce Packages (Pack of 10)
The tin contains ten packages of "toffee," each about the size of a deck of cards. This would be a great purchase if the product description was accurate; however, the seller claims it is difficult, and the package says to "Whack then unwrap and enjoy," but whacking it does nothing. It's not as hard as the seller claims; instead, it's chewy and sweet like caramel. You can see in my image that it can be cut with a knife, just like putty. br>br>I love toffee, such as Werther's, Heath, Skor, and Almond Roca, and I was told Walker's was the best, so I ordered it and it was shipped all the way from the UK to the US, but I couldn't eat it. I can't eat gummy, sticky, or chewy foods because I'm wearing dentures. This was a complete waste of money, and all I can do now is toss it in the trash because I'm not going to pay to have it shipped back across the pond.
Also the packaging was very sloppy - the "toffee" is poured into little clear plastic trays, except it was overflowing the tray on one side and about.
Toffee that isn't too hard. I've always imagined "toffee" to be a solid candy, like a heath bar, but these are large chunks of caramel. They're good if you're looking for chewy caramel, but that's not what I wanted. br>br>Some reviewers' discussion of "little hammers to break it into pieces" led me astray. The stuff I got would have to go in the freezer to be broken with a hammer, and then it'd be a mess when it thawed. On the other hand, I do live in Hawaii, so there's that. br>br>In fact, after reading a few more reviews after placing my order, I realized this and canceled it a few hours later. Despite the fact that I requested a "cancel order" and explained that I didn't want chewy caramel, the seller - instead of canceling it - I was contacted and asked if I wanted to cancel the appointment. That email didn't arrive until the next day, at which point I replied, "Yes, cancel means cancel," but it had already been shipped at that point. br>br>All right, let's get started. to sum it up The item is a large bunch of caramel that costs $12. If you want a metal tray of caramel, the price of $50 (shipped) is a good deal. The shipping was also much quicker than expected. It's a new product. I don't think it's particularly good caramel, but it's not bad either. I've put it in a sealed bin downstairs and won't be eating it for a while. br>br>I believe the order should not have been shipped because it was canceled in a timely manner. The seller appeared to be unsure of what an Amazon "cancel order" notice meant. I won't order it again because I don't need caramel, but caramel fans should give it a try. I like the little metal tray it came in, which my wife wants to use for sorting mealworms or something similar. br>br>In the end, if you know it's 35oz of delicious caramel, go ahead and order it; you'll probably be pleased. Just keep in mind that "toffee" is the British equivalent of "caramel. ".
It's nearly impossible to dismantle. I tried breaking it at room temperature, but all it did was bend. It broke into small pieces when I tried freezing it. The best way to separate the pieces is to use a large knife on a cutting board, but even then, you must be extremely careful because the material is so tough that the knife may slip and cut your fingers. It's also difficult to chew while being too soft to suck on - Taffy toffee is a better analogy.
These were chewy to the point of being hard, and they tasted like regular caramel, but I'm not sure if English toffee is the same as American caramel because I'm from the United States. Toffee in the United States is known for its sweetness. When compared to caramel, it always has a deep richness to it. It's still tasty, but I was hoping for a rich dark toffee flavor. Because they are so chewy, they may pull out a filling; if you can bite off a piece, soften them in your mouth before chewing.
Thank you very much! Before opening the Toffee, read the wrapper to learn how to break it into pieces. Just slam it down! It was placed on a table. Then take the treats out of their wrappings! They're incredibly tasty! I'm addicted to them and can't get enough of them. I've never had a soft caramel or toffee treat like this. It was well worth the money. They're being delivered from another country!.
In your mouth, it softens.
I didn't buy nearly enough, to be honest. My brother is from England. So I've had real English toffee, and it doesn't last long in my house, so I have to keep it hidden. The majority of people are enthralled by it and devour it. I gave some to each of my siblings and children, leaving me with only five packages. I'm going to order two sheets the next time.
