Callard and Bowser licquorice toffee are two brands that I am familiar with. Was my "initiation" into the world of licquorice; I now buy Walker's and am completely satisfied. Actually, I think I prefer it! It tastes great. Take a chance!
It's a mix of black licorice and toffee. So not 100% licorice but a richer and creamier licorice candy in stead of 100% licorice candy in stead of licorice candy in stead% It's definitely worth a go.
It's a chewy treat.
You will receive two bags at the price of five dollars. These are fantastic at 3 ounces.

I looked up Callard on the internet. Bowsers, as they used to be known for their delicious toffee-like confections like licorice, which I haven't had in decades Regrettably, they do not appear to be in operation anymore. People said this licorice toffee (Walker's) tasted and felt similar, so I ordered some to try. I was pleased with the result. It's not the same as Callard, for example. It's not quite as chewy and delicious as Bowser's, but it's close. This is something I would recommend to others and would buy again.
Bowser's licorice toffees were one of my favorite treats, and I was disappointed when they were no longer available. I tried a few other licorices but couldn't find anything that came close. I even attempted to make my own using a recipe I found online. They weren't bad, but they didn't quite hit the mark. br>br>After reading the positive reviews claiming that this was the closest thing to Callard, I decided to give it a try. I chose to try Bowser's. I gave it a go and was blown away. It had the right flavor. It's possible that the texture is a tad firmer than C. It's not quite as good as B, but it's a close second. It's a good thing it came in two bags.
I've read so many positive Amazon reviews about the texture and freshness of each licorice toffee product! If you prefer them soft and supple, these are not for you. I kept hearing that calard and bowser are similar in that they start out firm and gradually become chewy and creamy, and then I'm in my own HEAVEN! The toffee is large enough to last a long time; I tried two small bags and thought they were expensive at first! That was a mistake on my part! lol There's a good amount for the price, and they vanished within hours, as I noticed a company stashing them, and the person I bought them for was also swallowing hers. This is the absolute best. EXTREMELY FRESH! This family-owned business will not sell you "old" toffees! They're made and shipped quickly, thanks to the grandchildren's willingness to pick up and carry on their family's long-standing tradition!! I owe you a debt of gratitude!.
This is the next best thing to Bowser's licorice days, and I've been looking for it for years. They were also a hit with my 88-year-old mother, as well as my girlfriend. We're hooked on 3 of the 3!.
br>This time, I ordered from Amazon and had a mediocre experience; the chews were hard and never softened in the mouth. That buttery flavor was completely absent from my palate. Was it just my taste buds, or had the candy gone bad?.
These are for you if you enjoy licorice toffee. I'm overjoyed to receive them. I used them as wedding favors as well! It has a great licorice flavor and is very chewy! If you have any loose fillings or teeth, you should be cautious. It's very chewy! I simply suck them until they're gone. I'm incredibly delicious.
These candies are living with me. I've decided to live a life of solitude and celibacy in order to devote more of my time to savoring them. This two-pack lasted nearly a year. They're similar to my soul in that they're smooth, creamy, dark, and sweet. They're absolutely fantastic.
It has a nice licorice flavor to it. buttery and silky smooth It reminds me of Callard in a lot of ways. If you like black licorice, these Bowser's licorice toffee from the past are somewhat addictive. br>Better to let them melt in your mouth- Your fillings may be pulled out if you chew too hard. But it's a small cost to pay. Mmmmm. good! It would be nice if they were a little less expensive.
