This was brought to my attention by a coworker. North Carolina-born worker with a North Carolina-born wife. I usually buy this flour when I visit my parents in South Carolina. When it runs out, however, I don't hesitate to order it online; my wife uses it to make the best biscuits I've ever had. They're fluffy and light, and they're delicious! If you can't find it in your area, I think it's worth the money to order it online!.
This mix's "shortening" is palm oil, which I dislike - to the best of my knowledge. I looked around for other ingredients but couldn't find any. It would say so if it was made with environmentally friendly ingredients. The environment suffers as a result of palm oil. Every time I eat a biscuit, I don't want to think about how I'm destroying the world. I won't be purchasing the mix again, despite how good it is and how easy it is to use. In addition, I believe the flavor is a little bland. They're tasty because the texture is right and the wheat is the right kind, but I'm not convinced that palm oil tastes like shortening or butter.
Simply combine the flour and buttermilk in a mixing bowl, knead it a few times, roll it out, and cut your biscuits. They turn out fantastically. The biscuits' flavor, on the other hand, is a little lacking- They appear to be a little bland in comparison to fast food, but they look fantastic. I tried adding a little more salt and even some sugar, but it didn't help. Before the baking powder loses its punch, it has a shelf life of about 6 months to a year.
I crave biscuits every now and then, but only when they're fresh and authentic. I saw a video on YouTube where he mentioned using this biscuit mix but making everything else from scratch, so I decided to give them a try. If you're in a hurry, these will do the trick. Plan L is the name given to them. That, I believe, stands for Plan Lazy. I don't mind; I can make scratch biscuits if I want to, but I don't always have the time; these, on the other hand, are excellent.
I've been making biscuits for more than 50 years, and this mix is on par with my "made from scratch" biscuits! From now on, I'm going to use this mix. From a Southern cooking mom, that's a big compliment! I'd include a photo, but the biscuits are disappearing faster than I can photograph them for you.
I decided to give his biscuits a try because they looked delicious, and I was not disappointed. The biscuits made by Southern Biscuit Formula L are the best I've ever had. This product was used to make biscuits for my family, and they all liked them. This product is also used to make Buttermilk Banana Pancakes, which turn out beautifully. This is a product that I will definitely order again. br>br>I strongly advise everyone to purchase this fantastic biscuit mix. It will be a great experience for you and your family. If you're looking for a unique way to.
Yesterday was my first time using the biscuit mix. I've made a lot of biscuits, but these are the easiest, best tasting, and lightest I've ever made. They're almost as good as the ones my late mother used to make. The tops were flaky and crunchy, with a golden brown color. Last night for supper, I made sliders, which were once again delicious and flavorful. Because these biscuits are made with only two ingredients, they are sure to be a hit.
It's that easy. So good. This mix allows me to make homemade biscuits in ten minutes. I don't roll them out; instead, I simply drop the dough into a buttered cast iron skillet, bake for 10 minutes, and enjoy delicious buttery biscuits that melt in your mouth. It's a whole new level of biscuit than canned biscuits! I haven't tried it as a pancake mix, but I've heard it's good. Don't be hesitant to purchase the two-pack. You'll want more once you've tried them!.
