Carbquik Baking Mix is a game-changing baking mix for anyone watching their carb intake. It's made from wheat so it tastes like flour, try it and you will see that it tastes as good or better than the leading brand, while having 90 less carbs.

Carbquik can be used in nearly any recipe that calls for traditional bake mix. You can use it to make pancakes, biscuits, waffles, pizzas, and just about any other baked good, and you can even fry with it (don't try this with other low carb bake mixes).

Most low-carb baking mixes contain soy protein, which gives them a gritty texture and a soy aftertaste. Because Carbquik is made from wheat, baked goods made with it taste identical to those made with flour or other baking mixes. It has less sodium and calories than the most popular full-carb mix. Not only that, but the majority of Carbquik recipes have 3 net carbs per serving or less.

Carbquik, like Bisquick, is a complete, low-carb baking mix made with Carbalose. Carbquik contains 90% less Net Carbs than Bisquick due to the use of Carbalose rather than regular flour. Carbquik can be used in a variety of recipes, including biscuits, muffins, pancakes, waffles, pizza crust, dumplings, and a variety of cake and sweet dough recipes.

Carbalose is made in a special way, with Enzyme-Modified Wheat, plant fiber, wheat protein, and a few other special conditioners, enzymes, and emulsifiers. Soy protein, sugar alcohols, dairy, animal-derived, trans-fatty, or saturated fat products are all absent from Carbalose. Soy (vegetable fiber) is a component of Carbquik.

I experimented with a sugar-free syrup and a pancake recipe with caution. It didn't raise my blood sugar, which surprised me. It didn't affect me in the same way that regular carb-free diets did. Doing so requires a variety of ingredients. The cheese biscuits are delicious, and the box includes a number of recipes on both the outside and inside of the box, as well as healthy ingredient substitutions. I'll admit that the texture takes some getting used to because it's not as dense, but Carbquik is a lifesaver for me as a diabetic who can't eat even small amounts of carbs.

My money was a waste

I gave it three stars because it does exactly what it says it will do, but it does not work for me. I thought this would be a low-card version of biskquick, but it isn't. To get this product to work, you'll need to add a lot of moisture. I tried it with my sausage ball recipe, and I had to add water, which I don't usually do, to make it hold together, and the taste was off in the end. No one else would be served them. Then I tried the pancake recipe on the package, which required a whole stick of butter, which I had never done before. The batter had a texture similar to soggy potatoes, but it made a decent pancake. They were hard to hold together because they were flat, not fluffy. I had high expectations for this product, so I was dissatisfied and will not use it again.

I really like this item, but I can't seem to find it in any store. As a result, Amazon it is! If you enjoy eating low-carbohydrate foods, this is the recipe for you. This is the BEST pancake and biscuit mix for you if you want to cut carbs without sacrificing flavor! The "Belgian Waffle" recipe on the back of the box is what I use to make pancakes. This is my kind of stuff! Although it has a slight bitter flavor, I continue to purchase it. Pizza dough, waffles, brownies, pancakes, biscuits, and sausage balls have all been a hit with the family. There is a learning curve, but it fits into my low-carb lifestyle perfectly, so I hope it remains on the market indefinitely! Try it out, and for recipes, go to Tova Industries. I replace Splenda with Lakanto Monkfruit when it calls for Splenda and 90 of the time I get something I absolutely love. I also make changes to recipes to eliminate the carbquick flavor (i. e. Extra butter, extracts, monkfruit, cinnamon, and other spices can be added.
