The first thing I noticed was that a box of cereal arrived terribly smashed. After 8 p. m. , around dark, we arrived The hour is 8 o'clock We have 30 minutes left! My driveway was just filled with the sound of that truck leaving! I tried the cereal in the damaged box, and it was quite good, however, it didn't even come close to comparable to the old "Buckwheats" cereal that it was supposed to be like! My memory of Buckwheats cereal is that it was made up of wheat flakes topped with a hard maple flavored glaze. The milk stood up to him. They did not get soggy at all. The taste of the food was incredible. It is certain that rice was in this cereal! This was not the case with "buckwheats"! There was disappointment in my heart.
Something similar to Buckwheat from the 1970s has been on my wishlist for a long time. There was no such thing as that. The maple flavor is not strong enough. Although the flakes were crisp, the taste was good. Those are exactly the kinds of organic buckwheat you may be after if you are seeking.
The product arrived in a plastic bag and both boxes were damaged I had the same issue as other reviewers There is almost a stale feeling to the product. The cereal does not compare to Kellogg's Buckwheats cereal. The second parcel was supposed to be given to a friend to try, since she had never eaten Kellogg's product before, but she was embarrassed to receive it.
I wouldn't call this cereal "bad" exactly, but it does not taste like much it really does taste like crap. My opinion of this cereal is that I would consume it again, but I would not purchase it.
Flakes were not as big as I thought they should be, but the taste was good. In my opinion, I gave this cereal only 3 stars because, for some reason, every time I had a bowl of this cereal, my stomach became bloated and achy within about two hours of eating it. Every person is different, so there might be an ingredient that I don't agree with, but it does not always mean the product is bad.
I don't like the taste at all. A little crunchy. In my youth I ate Kelloggs Buckwheats cereal from the 1970's, so I was looking for a healthier alternative. A bland cereal such as this one failed to satisfy.
Even though the box was enclosed, the plastic bag holding the cereal was partially open when I opened it. I will order the cereal again because I love it. Simply disappointed that I had to trash it, I simply could not bear it.
