There is no truth behind this advertisement. There is an advertisement for this product that claims it will not melt. I found it to melt right into my Chocolate crinkle cookies and it wasn't appealing to the eye and tasted awful! There is no way I would recommend this product! In the picture on the left, there is powdered sugar, and in the picture on the right, there is non-melting sugar, which made my cookies look ugly and taste bad!.

There was a rancid smell to it. Since I am such a glutton for punishment that I tried it again. The taste was similar to A date of expiration was not listed either. It's not something I would recommend.

My 12 year old daughter would like this package for her one day to be able to own a bakery. When I opened the package, I found the smell to be horrible. The package was undamaged, 2 years before the expiration date, and arrived properly. Shortening that is added to prevent melting is significantly rancid, so the store cannot accept the return of the item. I advise you not to buy. Rather than this, find another source. Having been impressed with King Arthur's brand, we will try it.
