Our whole family took one bite, then we both took one bite, and then we all threw them away. It is hard for me to believe that anyone could accept these. In particular, they leave an objectionable coating on the tongue and hard palate due to the oils in them. Moreover, there is no taste of chocolate whatsoever. If you search for the taste of chocolate with your tongue in a chocolate donut, you will find that it is very faint. There is none in these. It looks like the ants would like to go after these, so I'm going to test it. As a precaution, I may be able to use them as bait for rat traps if they aren't poisonous since rats are indiscriminate enough to eat them. After posting this, I will take a look in the trash to see if I can save anything useful from it.
I purchased these with an Amazon Fresh order in hopes of satisfying my craving. Though they were well within their sell-by date, the stale, crumbly, tough and dry tasted unappealing. They weren't as fresh as I used to get from my local donut shop, but they were still bad. Despite eating the cookies, my husband also thought that they tasted stale and were hard. The products I ordered did not meet my expectations.

In general, I love these, they're a guilty pleasure and family favorite.
