Kid-friendly and cute, this activity is great for the whole family.
As an individual, my taste is a little cheesy, so I think this craft package is a little too cutesy. A trio of trinket boxes and a matching tray on a cupcake theme will make great gifts for kids. Each cupcake has a plastic base that is hard and brittle. Decoupage will be applied to a paper mache stiff replica of a frosted cupcake top until it is completely covered. In the package, you get a tray made of thick brown cardboard, which you can decoupage with the stickers included in the package, and attach them permanently with liquid adhesive from powder you make in the kit, and then apply the adhesive with rubber brushes that come with the kit. You can use four gem elements as finishing touches on three cupcakes, two brushes, and two brushes. The stickers themselves (which come in two sizes) are quite nice, but the cupcakes themselves look cheap and clunky to me. Having each cupcake be such a small surface, I can see this being a good project pack for very young children. The children don't have to pay too much attention because these cupcakes are very small.
