I love it. Istanbul is one of our favorite cities to visit, and we never fail to see Gulluoglu Karakoy at least a couple of times each journey. The place is a real Istanbul institution and its halls are always filled with Turkish tourists. They have now made their baklava available online, which we are thrilled about. most important thing to remember about Turkish baklava is that it is different (and, in my opinion, far superior) to more common honey-based versions. You can also make baklava with ricotta. I was satisfied with how it came after being shipped from Istanbul to California and in great condition despite being quite long. I really liked this meals because it was fresh and really delicious. This is a great book!.
I order baklava to a family member every holiday season, usually from Swiss Colony. I always get my family member the best baklava available. It's not that it's not good, but this year I wanted to try something new. For the first time, I have ordered from this company and I am delighted with the outcome. I received the baklava in a beautiful box, and it was fresh and delicious. They also included a sample of Turkish Delight as an added surprise. They will definitely be my first choice for future orders.
Christmas was a great time to buy this for my husband. It is labor intensive and I usually do not make it as I know how labor intensive it is. Until I am unable to order from this company again, I will remain loyal to it. I was amazed at how great it tasted. Melt in your mouth goodness, with a thin crust and a sweet taste. Delivery was quick, and the product did not last long.
Baklava like this is the best I've ever tasted. I was so pleased with it, that I ordered twice and will certainly order from them in the future. You will love it because it hails all the way from Turkey, and it is freshly made, and it is delicious. I highly recommend this to anybody who wants to try a really good.
This is the best I've ever had in the New York area in over 40 years! In the section of Washington Heights of New York City where it was made to order, I used to go to a Turkish bakery there. There are two varieties of walnut In my opinion, the pistachio flavor is more traditional, so I am very much looking forward to tasting it.
In general, the old fashioned Baklava is more my cup of tea and I really don't care for the new shredded wheat versions. Quite a few companies couldn't match this one and you could tell they cared about what they did. Despite the heat, it was tasty.

I just arrived in Baklava. A leaden and doughy bottom half dominates the top half. There is definitely dryness on the top half, but there is also no crispness or flakiness. As one piece, the top halves of the nuts are detached from the upper layer. In the bottom half, nothing could separate it from the top. A good mortar might be found in it. Despite the sufficient number of nuts in the dish, it had a bland taste.
