I was much more pleased than I The fact that Amazon didn't let me cancel my order made me so happy
4/5

In the aftermath of placing my order for a 28oz cake for $40, I began to feel It made me feel even worse to read the reviews! This cake is not the same size as a large muffin. I am not sure if the comments were about a smaller cake. We all got a good-size piece of cake with some leftovers. We thought the price was high for the size, but it was worth it for all of us. There is no need for a huge piece of it since it is so dense! There was a great flavor of Glenfiddich in the moist pieces of bread! Yes, most of the cake was sultans, but I think some people couldn't see the other fruit mixed in because it was the same color as the sultans. Purchasing this for a special occasion was well worth the money. To compare the size with a standard coffee mug, I've included a photo. It's important to show visitors and readers the inside of the building, because I don't want the bad reviews to deter potential clients.

To save you the trouble of tasting 3 different fruitcakes, we did it for you
3/5

Fruitcake faces were all over my family's faces This year, Walkers Glenfiddich whisky cake is going up against the Collin Street Bakery Deluxe fruitcake, and Grandma's Famous Old-Fashioned Fruitcake is going up against the Halibut Cake. A fruitcake made in the old fashion. You'll see this review under each fruit cake tested, so if you've seen it elsewhere, you may move on. All five of us were over the age of 17, and we evaluated each of them on all five attributes In our household of five, 3 of us regularly eat fruitcake during the holidays, and the other two have done so in the past. Served at room temperature, all fruitcakes were. The results were discussed afterwards after they had been scored independently. As a result - we each ranked the Grandma's first, the Collins Street second, and the Walkers third. The rest of the story is that the Grandma's stood out. A lot of people said it was delicious and had the best smell and flavor. As far as appearance goes, it was tied with the Collins. A trade-off exists between the Grandma's and the other two - it tended to crumble more than the other two, but it was the most moist. All three whiskies tested had the strongest whisky notes, but the Grandma's was the most robust. It was a pleasure to spend time with Grandma. It gets a 5 out of 5. It was the Collins that came in second place. There was an aroma similar to that of the Grandma's, and it looked very similar as well. I found the texture and flavor to be drier than that of Grandma's but decided that it was still better than the Grandma's. There were more citrus notes in this scent than in the other two. In the end, two out of five of us thought it was good, 1 thought it was okay, and the other two did not. A rating of 3 stars is deserved. All categories scored lower than the Walkers. They placed third in the least popular category. We found it to be dry to look at and to taste. There was a dry, waxy aroma and texture to it. Despite some holiday spice notes - cinnamon and clove - none of us were able to take a bite. Glenfiddich ought to stick to being a scotch producer and steer clear of making fruitcakes, say those of us who drink it. A one-star rating is deserved. Specifically, five of us recommend the Grandma's, three think the Collins would be good if the Grandma's isn't available, and none of us recommend the Walker's. We hope you have a great holiday and eat well! Enjoy the holidays!.

Food was not available to me

It is my pleasure to endorse Walker's products, as I have purchased them in the past. There was nothing more I wanted from this cake than to love it. However, it was extremely dry when I tried to slice it, and fell to pieces. As for the knife, it was a thick, thin serrated knife. Neither the Glenfiddich nor the bourbon tasted good to me. I noticed that the "Best Before" box on the package was blank, which made me wonder if the cake had sat on a shelf for a long time. The price for the small size was very fair, though, had the cake been better. The disappointment I feel is immense, but I will comfort myself with a wee dram of single malt Glenfiddich 12 year old to ease the pain.

The size of the pillow was WAY TOO SMALL for the price
3/5

Ideally, the size of the cake should be advertised as a muffin rather than an 8 inch cake. The box is 4 1/2 inches long, and a muffin is smaller. There is a great deal of money in this.

Do not waste your money so that you will not be disappointed

It's a small, dry cake with little flavor Each box is 2 inches wide by 2 inches tall. The dimensions of the print are 75" by 4". The dimensions of this picture are 25" x 4". A 25" diameter. Neither I nor the manufacturer know where 7" came from in product descriptions. A blank value was assigned to the 'Best before' date. The cake might be fake after all. In the future, I will bake my own like I have in the past. Glenfiddich and Walkers are to be ashamed of themselves for having their names attached to this product. I would not recommend it.

The hotel is not the best, but it's better than most of the reviews would lead you to I didn't expect the cake to be as big as it was
3/5

There's just a tiny bit more to it than a muffin. Despite the fact that it wasn't the moistest fruitcake I've ever eaten, it didn't seem as dry as other reviews said it would be. It has a lot of raisins and 6 cherries. There are five nuts and five cherries. Compared to the fruitcakes from the locl big box store, this is much superior. My tongue was tickled by the aroma of scotch, and my nose was filled with its essence. I like it more than a steamed Christmas pudding because it has been baked instead. The fruitcake I bought at Williams and Somona made by trappist monks was made by trappist Last time I ate the best fruitcake I ever had. This cake fails to measure up. There is nothing controversial about it, it is edible, unlike the trappist monk cake, which was 3 times as big, but cost more than 4 times as much. In my opinion, this isn't Walker's best product, but if you need to buy a little something for people who are scotch lovers or who like Christmas pudding, then this is an acceptable item.

I thought this was an excellent holiday dessert with a few additions
3/5

The packaging of my order of 6 small cakes was very bad at first, resulting in damaged boxes (not the producers' fault), and the cake is mostly raisins with some pretty cherries and almonds. Neither a whisky flavor nor a whisky aroma can be detected. As a result, the flavor is greatly enhanced if you put the cake into a small ceramic souffle baking dish and pour a few tablespoons of whisky over it once a week for a few weeks while keeping it covered and refrigerated. My plan is to serve it warm with whisky sauce, dark cherries, and whipped cream, and I will advise those who receive.

The air is too dry Be sure to add booze
3/5

Despite the fact that I like fruitcake (don't hate me), I hate fruitcake. My favorite type of scotch whisky is single malt scotch. There was no reason why I should not like it! All in all, it was alright. The flavor of the drink was a bit Though I could smell the scotch, I could not identify the brand or if it was single malt. The worst part of all was that the scotch There's rum in it, quite a lot in fact. My tin was closed for a few days, so I let it percolate. This dessert is definitely an adult type.

If you buy it, feel free to add more scotch or dark rum or whiskey. This is the perfect thing if you are looking for a fruitcake that is somewhat dry and smells like alcohol.
